Did I say he should be fired? I said with what is likely going to be a very tough 2025, this is a must win if we want to do anything truly meaningful before 2026

Not that I disagree the game is important, but this has been said about every sec game this year

It’s hard to win a NC. It’s hard to consistently field great teams.

I dont see any major pitfalls to Brian Kelly that make me think he can never put it together.

He isn’t overly loyal to Coordinators and Assiatants.

He isn’t a bad recruiter

He isn’t married to an outdated style of play

He doesn’t ignore one side of the ball consistently.

He doesn’t ignore the transfer portal

unless you’re consistently stacking top 3 classes, consistently spending millions on transfers every year or consistently playing a weak schedule you aren’t going to be a top 5 team every year.

Most schools are hoping they can take in enough talent that their offense and defense click at the same time and they can make a run.

Yeah but had we won at A&M we could have lost to Bama and still made the Playoff

So Ole Miss this year and the Gumps two years ago? I was speaking all "big" games, but OK. He does not appear to have the team on an upward trend. The Aggie loss was another big stumble that, imo, largely reflected lack of preparation. Special teams is once again a Joke. Good coaches rarely get caught flat-footed. LSU has no run game. His QB evidently refuses to run even when that is completely called for. All of this is on the coaching staff.

You’re high. He could lose out and be fine. Y’all don’t understand how much this contract cushions his job status

Oh good heavens, did I say that you did?

So losing next weekend means we likely won’t compete for a title until his 5th year of a 10 year contract. Some people may find that acceptable but I don’t think it is at LSU.

Bama lost at Vandy and at Tennessee so there are no excuses
Now tell me you did not imply that Kelly should be fired if LSU loses the Bama game.

Ole Miss will not be very good next year. Dart is gone and so is the rest of their transfer portal mercenaries. Their HS recruiting is dog shite

No coach has their team only ever going up up up.

I would say we greatly over performed the first 2 years so now a 10-3 season feels like a downward turn

Bama losing to Vandy and Tennessee has nothing to do with how they will play against LSU. Bama always brings it against LSU and with their backs against the wall just like LSU, it’ll be that much tougher to get a W against Bama now. If LSU doesn’t bring their A+ game and Nuss decides he wants to keep making horrible decisions then Bama is going to embarrass them.

Stop being dramatic.

However it does depend on winning at least 2 of the next 4.
Bama
Florida
Vandy
Oklahoma.

We cant lose 3 of those and expect to build on that.

Yea lost to A@M WITH A LOADED ROSTER.They have one of the best
DLs in the country. If Jimbo could do anything it was recruit. He had 5 years
to build that program talent wise.BK has had 2 and a half. You tell me who has the advantage.Of course you will say BK .

To be honest I do not think either of these coaches want to be on the losing end of this one. If it's DeBoer everyone is saying he's no Saban get him out of here etc. If it's BK the narrative will be its year three, shouldn't this be our year, etc. So yeah, I think it's a pretty big one for both these guys.

Complete over reaction

No one is getting fired if he goes 10-3 again. That would put him at 30-10, no coach worth their weight would even entertain coming here if we canned BK. Y’all love to say 100 million on this board, that would be a bargain compared to what it would take for a new HC to come here.

At the end of the day, the BK era will depend on if he is able to win a national championship. If he wins a national championship in year 5 or 6, no one will care what happened in year 3. WHEN he goes his entire tenure here without a national championship, it will be a failure.

I don’t think this is an over exaggeration.

Man you super fans, or whatever the hell you call yourself need another hobby. You think someone is buying out $70m because he has 3, 3 loss years. Really think about what you're saying. Recruiting is top notch, portal presence is strong, money is being raked in. What in the hell makes you think he would go anywhere? If this man had 3, 3 win seasons, then you have an argument.
