I doubt he coaches again unless its in the MAC. I bet he tries his hand at commentary and then retires completely.

He needs to go back to Grand Valley State or wherever he was and add to his win totals

People always talk about being the right fit culturally down here. Really, you just have to not be an arrogant, pompous douche and you’ll usually fit in.

I think he saw how successful 2022 was and he assumed that he could do the bare minimum instead of really attacking the portal and address team needs.

Ultimately, it was his downfall.

Saban was the epitome of that. But you need to win, and win bigger than Kelly did going forward. 9 wins is fine, great to start out with. Problem was, he then won 8 instead of 10, and last year cratered when we were supposed to be a playoff contender.

Brian Kelly is done coaching. LSU was his retirement plan. He retired early with full pay.

Precisely, and I can’t really relate to wanting to know what the hell Brian bitch arse Kelly is doing. He’s rich and old and an arrogant prick.

Brian Kelly is a good man.

But he was never really the right fit for LSU.

I don't think any coach is worth the pay or paying players like we do now is right.

Colleges have turned sports for coaches and players into an I want money blackmail scheme.

Why do you believe Brian Kelly is a good man?

Based on what?
He's arrogant, lazy, fake, and impersonal.

Notre Dame fans should send Scott Woodward gifts on his birthday and Christmas for taking him off their hands. They should have Scott Woodward Day annually and invite him to the celebration if they ever win a title.

Most of all, why is anyone on this forum still talking about him. He's gone. He's a flea on an elephant's arse in terms of his importance to LSU.

If you make him your coach after seeing him at LSU with all the resources to be succuessful what makes you think he'll be sucessfull at a lesser school

remember people shitting on Sunbelt Billy when Kelly had first year success with coach O's players and got worse as they left, only for Sunbelt to almost immediately find a job after UF and fat Kelly is unemployed. Should have hired Sunbelt, at least the buyout would have been less and the results would have been pretty much the same.

Sunbelt Billy is 20 years younger and immediately found a job . . . Back in the Sunbelt.

Kelly played for an SEC title, had a Heisman trophy winner, and a 3-1 head-to-head record vs Billy.

It may not have been great, but I’ll take what we got over what Florida got the last 4 years.

Well i have never met him but in interviews and i thought he handled himself well.

I just didn't think he was a great fit at LSU.

You’re probably right. Something about his demeanor just rubbed me the wrong way I suppose.

Idk man he’s the polar opposite of what you want in a good man. He seemed to be more focused on himself in all of this.
