He surely performed well without blocking or a running game last season.

It’s the same line he was playing behind last season. You guys either didn’t watch or forgot what you saw in the games Brennan played.

Myles would have been Re injured and out for life.

Maybe he gets hurt maybe he doesn’t but he sure did put up better numbers and a lot more points in the same situation last season. He’s the better player period and if you can’t see that you’re blinded by bias.

I recall us losing to Missouri and miss state with Brennan. Also not being able to run the ball or play defense.

And how many points did we put up in those games? Why are you bringing up the running gane and defense, you can’t use those things to excuse one player and attack another, it’s hypocritical bias.

330-3tds from max yesterday with only 49 rushing yards to complement that and zero blocking. Similar stats to what Brennan was doing before he went out last year.

They both have 3 starts, if you compare the numbers it’s obvious who’s played better. I dunno what wise to tell you if you’re going to dismiss the facts.

I’m just saying. Y’all are doing it to max. Seems pretty hypocritical to me. Acting like Brennan is some Jesus Christ superstar qb is retarded just bc you’re mad we lost. I’d be willing to bet if we dig into your post history you were shitting on Brennan after the start to last season.

The point is… we aren’t gonna win fricking games without a run game or a defense. To act like Brennan is the answer is also ignoring stats considering we sucked with him last year too. We are gonna split hairs all year arguing qbs when QB ISNT THE PROBLEM.

Now that’s hyperbole, nobody said savior or Jesus Christ, but the truth is he was better. Look at how they defended Max yesterday, they blitzed the house and squatted on the short stuff as much as they could because they knew he couldn’t hurt them deep. Brennan was top 3 in the nation in downfield passing under the same pressure we saw yesterday. Max is a solid developing player but he’s not as good as Brennan. He needs everything working around him to be successful while we’ve witnessed Brennan drag an offense to higher numbers basically alone. Yesterday should’ve made that plain and obvious.

I think if the o-line drastically improves (not banking on it ) then maybe he should be the guy. If it’s more of last night then I’d tip my hat to Max bc he can move around and buy a little time with his feet. So when I say “max is better” I’m more referring to our situation. Right now it wouldn’t matter if Aaron Rodgers was back there. We suck in the trenches and our defense looks lost and can’t tackle. We won’t win games until that gets fixed.

I agree the defense is the biggest issue for certain. Our LBs are the worst collective group I’ve seen at LSU and our safeties minus Ward are terrible. On offense we have to realize that TDP is a situational player and can’t provide the versatility our offense needs. When he’s in there they know we can only run between the guards and it tips off the D freeing them up to get bold. Brennan isn’t here so let’s leave him out of it for now. Max needs other things working to be successful so we’ve gotta diversify LOS Playcalling. We e gotta use some screens, pop passes and edge runs to take pressure off of him but he missed 3 easy drive sustaining passes to Williams in the fiat that he never even looked at yesterday. Maybe run those routes to his left instead of blind side so he can see it. He’s also gotta make quicker decisions, he had a big play to Boutte, a TD and a wide open big play tto Palmer, another time Jenkins and one to Bech where if he just doesn’t hold the ball he’s got it.

I think if Brennan is in, we score more. But if we score more so does UCLA, it’s not like we stopped them in the 2nd half.

Max didn’t have one deep throw.

Did you watch the game? UCLA was bringing 5 or 6 on every snap and playing their outside CBs 10 yards off the ball. They were giving us the underneath shite figuring that we wouldn’t be patient enough to take it and march down the field. They were right.

It’s not like Max doesn’t have the arm strength to stretch the field.

Yep! Anyone thinking MB dramatically changes the games result is foolish. Peetz shite the bed

One positive from last night is Brennan is not hitting the portal.

It was always Brennan’s job. Decency bias has less-football-savvy fans thinking Max but he just wasn’t ready yet. Brennan was lighting up defenses before last year’s injury.

TJ Finley would have been a better option on Saturday.

I thought max Johnson was mediocre when he started last year.

He hit maybe 2 passes for 3rd down in second half vs Florida
I haven’t watched ole miss game since it was live

Throws were off mark
Missed wide Open receivers

Lot same stuff I saw sat night

I can look at him when he unloads the ball and tell it’s an incomplete
