Brennan needs a game like this to get his feet settled. I had hoped he’d be ready for Miss State but their air raid put too much pressure on our defense which forced an inexperienced QB to do too much. He still had decent numbers and put points on the board but he looked unsettled at times.
This one will be different. Vandy won’t be pressuring our defense like Ms State did.

I think we see a good day for Myles Brennan.

Part of the reason for this will be the OL play. He’ll be better protected and he’ll have relief from our running game as they open some holes to get us clock ownership.

I expect 350 yards, over 30 passes with 60% completion, And 2 TD’s .

Isn’t our starting LT out for the game?

Mississippi state was scoring a lot which forced Brennan to feel pressure to score a lot, that’s what OP is saying.

That wasn’t the case the first half though.

So the same stat line he had last week? His stats were fine last week, but he failed the eye test. Hopefully this week he shows confidence and rapid decision making

It was a pretty straightforward statement. Hard to disagree with it.

Fewer turnovers.

Brennan had a decent Qb rating last week. This week will be even better

I understand what the poster is saying. It’s just transitive relation doesn’t work like that in football. It was a idiotic statement and OP was making excuses for poor QB play.

Everyone hopes Brennan does better, including myself, but don’t fool yourself by today’s performance. I mean, we are playing VANDY. Having said that, it’s still going to be an extremely tough outing for Brennan today. He lost his starting blindside tackle and I’m sure with that any shred of confidence he had left. I’m honestly expecting a similar performance to his last week only there will be less pass attempts in lieu of run plays. I still think he runs into multiple sacks and turns the ball over twice.

Brennan 15-25, 250, 2 TD, 1INT, 1Fumble, 4 Sacks

On two of his TD passes (the prayer to Gilbert and the long one to Marshall), Brennan looked like a HS QB.

I wish we had the QB from BYU, or even the Seals dude from Vandy.

truly one of the dumbest posts i’ve read in a long time.

Here are our drives in the first half, before Brennan was “ forced to do too much.”.

5 plays, 17 yards, Punt
4 plays, 12 yards, Punt
3 plays, -1 yard, Punt
3 plays, -2 yards, Punt
8 plays, 84 yards, TD
3 plays, 0 yards, Punt
5 plays, 26 yards, End of Half

And Miss State was only ahead by 3 points going into the 4th quarter.

It’s as if posters here don’t even watch the games, but yet post about it.

I only heard one comment about the Vandy team this week and that was "they have a pretty good pass rush..."

Vandy well test Brennan. If he can’t get it done by halftime it’s time to put Max in

I think he will collapse even more. Prolly throw at least 2 interceptions, definitely take at least 5 sacks and fumble at least once.

Hate to break your bubble but were gonna lose this game, and every single game we play until we make major changes on defense and at QB and OL.

Oh, and frick you.

If we don’t beat Vandy, we are in real trouble.

Yes, that will solve our inexperience at QB problem.
