Longhorn Wire - Myles Brennan is one of the most experienced Power-Five quarterbacks in the portal right now, as he has four years of playing experience under his belt. He has not had the success at LSU that many had hoped for following Joe Burrow, but the program as a whole has not lived up to the hype after that championship.

The former four-star is a pocket passer with the ability to move around if needed, and also has a decent arm. Something Sarkisian values, as he does not really have his quarterbacks run much.

In 2020, Brennan completed 60% of his passes for 1,112 yards, 11 touchdowns and just three interceptions. His biggest issue, and likely the reason he did not get a shot to win the job at LSU this season, is the fact that he has been somewhat injury-prone as he suffered an army injury this season. He also suffered a season-ending injury against Missouri last year after posting career highs in passing attempts (49), completions (29), and passing yards (430). He may do well with a fresh start, and has proven at times to be a very capable passer down field.

Everyone except half the Rant knows he's a good QB.

Hit an IED with his left arm and broke it. Purple Heart is in the mail.

Maybe the other half has seen him at practice. He is basically an unknown commodity to us regular fans. He had nice stats vs Ms. St, Vandy and Missouri but that is it at this point.

Can you name one LSU qb who had better stats in his first 3 starts of his career?

Imagine if dodgeball and football got together and had a child. That’s the chaos drill, a combination of sports to emulate the pressure a quarterback faces in the pocket.

really, because he’s barely played.

most LSU QBs had better red zone and 3rd down percentages. They were awful.

I can’t name a single starter who lost games to Miss State and Missouri in 2 of his only starts.

He stunk the first half against Miss State. And he couldn’t pick up a first down when LSU got the ball in the 4Q with a chance to tie against Miss St.

At the goal line against Missouri with a chance to win the game he went 0-2 from the 2 yard line on the last two plays.

Inexperienced qbs struggle in the red zone and on 3rd downs…who knew? MB had a 154 rating in his first 3 starts but yeh you shite on him. You’re an idiot

You are right. Our defense had NOTHING to do with losing those games.

I’d rather be an idiot than have another mans balls in my mouth O will miss you polishing them daily. What defenses did he do this against and how many walkons did mizzou play on defense that day?

Holy shite another genius. His first half as a starter with a new OC and inexperienced wrs and rb…yep all his fault

facts aren’t shitting on him. He put up good numbers passing yard and touchdown wise but those defenses weren’t great and he struggled mightily on third down and in the red zone. Those are facts.

miss state had a new head coach and OC You are a king of excuses. All the years of excuses for O are boiling over. Plus Costello was brand new on campus in a covid year. He didn’t struggle
