I can't wait to see Coach O win the west next year. All the great news out of spring gives every reason to believe we are right in it with bama

It's a gift. But seriously, all this hype coming out has me more optimistic. I mean Coach O and Coach P wouldn't be putting all this out if we were in for another disappointing season right guys? Coach O took over a program in need of an overhaul and he's done a great job of totally changing the direction of our program

Lets see: New QBs, new RBs, new WRs, new OC . . .

in the spring vs a stacked Aranda defense. Shocking.
Well, to be fair, the new OC has been on campus for a few years, including interim OC just 2 years ago, so he knows the personnel.
Brennan and some of the WRs had playing time, there should be some rhythm with at least one guy.

This isn't a stacked Aranda defense just yet, as we have about the same depth in the secondary as we did last season on the O-line.

None of this means anything yet, but I do hope to hear that the passing game is able to produce at some point.

I saw a tweet too where the offense didn't open up the whole playbook though so I wouldn't read too much into any of this

Exactly this is probably the most talent LSU’s ever had on the front 7

Leonard Marshal - two time NFL defensive lineman of the year
Bill Elko - three years in the NFL
Ramsey Dardar - All SEC nose guard, one year NFL, many years in prison
Albert Richardson - all American LB and NFL player
Rydell Melancon - OLB 4th round draft choice of the Falcons.
Lawrence Williams - ILB played one year in the USFL
Greg Dubroc - drafted by Giants. Didn’t pan out

And they played in front of the best secondary to ever take the field for LSU (except for every one that had Patrick Peterson in it)
Gino Daniels - corner 14 years in NFL
Jimmy Britt - corner, second round pick, Falcons
Jeff Dale - safety, 2nd round pick of the chargers
Lifort Hobley - safety, 3rd round pick of the Steelers

Depth sucked at every position

The personnel that we have on both sides of the ball up front, and the size, speed and ability of our line backers and DE’s. You might want to take a look, more talent up front than we’ve had in years and line backers aren’t 6’1 / 190 anymore. Look at the depth and size and you may get your answer

Yeah, they obviously haven't opened the playbook for the last 5 years or so. I am assuming that they are waiting for Saban to retire before showing their hand. Last year people told me that we didn't throw a slant against BYU because we didn't want to show the offense if it wasn't needed. Why do they show all of the running plays early on, since that is what the team does best? Seems like making easy throws, like a basic slant just for timing would be beneficial. I don't think a slant should be tucked away in a secret section of the playbook. Not showing a playbook is severely overrated, as you can't get better at things unless they are practiced in game situations. Misdirection and formation changes should be implemented throughout the year and maybe 1 or 2 "trick" plays per game. The basic passing game should be utilized every game, because game time repetition is the only way to perfect the craft. Look at the Patriots, Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, and so on, and understand that they do not remain vanilla until they can't be. You need to be comfortable with aggressive/ creative playcalling, so it is a strength when it is needed. Teams that only use aggressive playcalling only when down several touchdowns never find rhythm and are usually not successful. This play not to lose concept has to go, as it has proven to be unsuccessful over and over again.

we haven't seen fehoko perform at all in an LSU uniform. He had three sacks total at tech. I don't want to crown this dline the greatest in LSU history before they play a game. its funny watching yall crown players and units before any game has even been played. slow down on the praise you stupid frick and let them show out then give them praise.

Which of the LBs Orgeron recruited do you speak of?
A quick check of the roster shows all the biggest LBs were recruited under Miles staff.
In fact, Orgeron's only class recruited was 2018, with the worst composite ranking since 2002's #21.

Also the defense is in year 4 with Dave Aranda opposed to the offense who is learning the 3rd offense in 3 years under a coach who is still tweaking with his playbook.
