Unfortunately Josh Smith let the ball go off his glove into left field, allowing the game winning run to score.

And half his body is in foul territory. It was a bad throw, no doubt. In my opinion, in that situation keeping the ball in the infield is the #1 priority. It was 100% an error on the catcher, it just sucks that a close play like that happened to Josh.

Been a pretty rough year for Bregs with the bat, he has been stellar defensively. But showed signs of late of positive regression to the mean.
And history shows August and Sept. are his best months so - LFG. That was a clutch 2-out, 2-strike homer against a closer who prior to that had not blown a save all year I was told.

Actually, the score was 2-0 - PCA was on base after a leadoff single, the next two guys got out - so it was a two out two strike two run bomb to tie it. Clutch any way you look at it off of a nasty closer.
