Dumbass. This is the equivalent of starting a thread after he goes 0-5 with 2Ks to say "Guess he needs those trash cans"

Not a big understander of sarcasm are we? Lighten up Nancy.

Nobody's a bigger fan of Bregs than me, but although I think he will excel due to LF in Fenway, it kills me to see him in Boston

I mean, he’ll still have good games without knowing what’s coming, but the astros cheated their asses off. Is what it is

All 32 teams received warning letters from the league office for the same thing in September that year. All that started with Boston and the Yankees. That is a fact. In fact, it was the year before in NY that this started with Beltran. Then there is one simple fact that is ALWAYS ignored. Supposedly, the Astros did it at home. Go look at their road record that season and get back to me. They beat all of their opponents on the road in the playoffs - Dodgers included.
The ignorant people on here are my favorite.

I really don't care one way or another. It does like you are excusing/justifying the cheating. I think it is pretty fair to say they cheated. Whether you like Houston, or their players, that's pretty much a fact.

I’m not justifying anything. I’m just stating that cheating has existed in baseball since the beginning. Stealing signs is nothing new. Using drugs like amphetamines and steroids is nothing new. In every sport there are rules and those rules are bent as far as possible to the advantage of every player. But I will say they beat New York, who cheated using the same types of technology as the Boston not only that season but the season before. Atlanta was another one. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t just those four or five teams. The league didn’t strip the Astros of the title because of how pervasive it was that season. And yet the Astros just kept on winning going to league title after the league title or World Series after the World Series. It wasn’t about cheating no matter how many times morons keeps viewing the same crap. It was one of the single greatest runs in all the major-league baseball history.
You can bet your arse that had it been the Yankees nothing would’ve ever been said. Why do you think that is?
It was no different than the Patriots and all of the controversy around those seasons.
Saints fan should know full well how that feels after the 2010 season and all of the BS that ensued.

Duke cheats in basketball and they punish southeastern Louisiana university for cheating. That’s how it is with the Yankees, Boston and Dodgers. Those entitled organizations are the face of major-league baseball and never forget that.

Good post. You’ve got people who just don’t like the Astros and are still salty about all the success they’ve had. It’s funny reading all the crying about it years later still.

It was the closest you'll get to seeing a prison gang rape during a sporting event.

I don't believe in cheating to get an unfair advantage.

Outside of that, I really don't care. I'm not comparing Houston to other teams that have cheated. They all do what they can to get an advantage. Houston's was just in the spotlight. Yes they cheated. I still like Houston.

I’m all for stealing signs, but using video cameras to do so is messed up.

The point is they beat teams who were cheating all season. Especially New York and Boston. Those two teams probably shouldn’t have even been in the playoffs. Secondly, they beat teams on the road. Their road record was as good as their home record. That’s the difference.
You probably also don’t believe in using calculators to solve problems or chat GPT. Some purist would say that doing so is cheating.

I do, but then I'm a CPA so I don't use THAT much...but I do use them, yes.

Have done so when googled, but these things are only as good as they are being fed.

Not sure what or who I'm gaining an advantage over by using a calculator. Not sure who gets hurt when verifying numbers are correct.
