He’s happy in San Diego and it would be a tough sell probably to Brittney to move back to Nola. But say Gayle offers him a small % of the team as incentive = Home run.
We know his passion for the game and the way he prepared for games as a player. Take that attention to detail and transfer it to the front office. No way he allows the mediocrity we see now. He’s too competitive to allow it.

I was thinking this when I saw Ryan celebrating.

Does he want to live in New Orleans?

Brees doesn't have that in him so far.
He likes to be team Saints on some Sundays. He is no Sean Payton, just a stay at home announcer and dad now.

Give Payton a % . He would come in the door putting dudes in the dumpster as quick as you could say Wayne Gandys recliner

No way he takes that job. He would probably only consult at the most.

I don't think he has the time
Give him the Brady ownership package. That way he can consult but wont be expected to be there 100% of the time

He can travel back and forth. If he wanted to the Saints would make it happen. I don't think he's ready

I love Drew. Greatest player in a Saints uniform I think I’ll ever see
He’s not that guy. His business dealings have been…suspect. And i don’t think he would do a good job at this.

He doesn’t have to live in New Orleans. He can have a work house in the city and live in San Diego.

Drew went out of his way to mention Mickey during his HOF speech and how he didnt get enough credit.
I just dont see him swooping in to take his job, unless Gayle begged him or something.

First thing that came to my mind.
I love Drew and love him involved in the organization from a support standpoint. There is nothing that has shown he has a knack for football ops.
