I think he's evolving. Seems a bit looser. I'd love to see him back in the Saints organization with that knowledge and work ethic.

I hope he is offered a role.
And I would damn sure offer a LBer coaching role to Demario.

Brees really needs to just move on and geaux away.

We’ll never get him unless he becomes a part-owner of the organization. He’s making way more money on TV right now, and it’s way easier

IMO, if Peyton Manning winds up running the Colts, I don't see how the competitive Brees doesn't move into a front office role. His main competitors in Brady, Ryan and Manning will all be running franchises.

He doesn’t need to be calling every saints game

He's here to stay it seems. That is unless he gets a big contract in a big city that needs him just in studio.

Drew is too competitive to be the ra-ra homer commentator. He strikes me as the kind that would be more critical of the Saints because he wants them to be better than they are.

I thought it was outstanding. He was objective and critical of both teams while also praising both teams on things they did well. His single best observation was the one criticizing the Giants for not taking the FG right after the bomb to Malik thus saving a lot of time which likely would have allowed them to at least tie and possibly win the game. And he was no homer on the Saints when he questioned the defensive strategy that allowed the Giants to make big play after big play. I hope Fox liked what it saw.

He’s not good yet. The NFL forces these guys into a box. That’s what prevents these guys from being loose and calling the game like they could. They talk in hyperbole and every player is the best in the league at this or that. They make them act like hype men instead of actual announcers. That’s why they are all so terrible and never STFU. Brady is a homo and talks like a chick, Aikman is a moron, Collinsworth is a hyperbolic idiot whose voice makes me want to stick an ice pick in my brain, Olsen is just worthless. And they all try to copy each other which makes it worse. But the biggest contributing factor is that these guys just aren’t very smart.

When the camera shows him and Idi Amin in the booth Drew needs to look at him when he's speaking. The lack of appears awkward.
