Soooooo, Les Miles without the quirkiness?

Plain and simple, we run the offense he wants with the QB he wants

We run the offense he wants with the QB who gives LSU the best chance to win. Kelly started as much or more pro style QBs than dual threat at Cincinnati and Notre Dame. But he did start dual threat QBs when they gave them the best chance to win.

Daniels had 188 rushing attempts last year. Brian Kelly QBs at Cincinnati and Notre Dame had >100 rushing attempts 6 times in 15 seasons (with 140 being the most). In his final season at ND, his QB had 57 rushing attempts (including 35 sacks).

However, the focus needs to be not on JD-GN, but on CBK. He had options and this is the course he set. Plain and simple, we run the offense he wants with the QB he wants because that's his football philosophy.

The game has evolved and Kelly is evolving with it. You need to have a QB that can make plays with his feet. Saban has known this since he made Blake Sims the starter over 5* pro style QB’s on his roster. He did it again with Hurts. I’m sure Saban would love to have Jayden Daniels playing QB for Alabama.

At this point, he's a finished product.

It's very doubtful if he improves for the better at this late time in his career.

All that improvement that we heard about in the Spring, never materialized against FSU, so at this point I think what you see is what you get with JD5.

This is the laziest and most intellectually dishonest takes that our shitty arse fanbase refuses to let go of.

Joe Burrow and the 2019 LSU tigers have ruined our fanbase and destroyed the idea of "Realistic Expectations."

The whole reason Nuss is pined over isn't because Daniels is a bad quarterback, it's because the fanbase thinks he is the second coming of Burrow. Here's a cheat sheet for you all, no one is.

Don't you think that if our coaching staff thought Nuss gave us a better chance of winning that he would be starting ?

Kelly has shown in his short time here that if a player isn't living up to expectations, he will replace that player with someone who will, and the Quarterback position is not above that.

For some of you, anything short of perfection is reason enough to sit JD5. The fact is that Jayden has played extremely well in his first 2 games.

Could he have played better against FSU ? Since we lost that game any rational person would have say yes, he certainly could have. He absolutely isn't the reason we lost though.

Had Nuss played the exact same game, throw for throw, run for run as Daniels did against FSU, y'all would be ready to crown him as the second coming.

This idea that he is a finished product is fricking retarded, and anyone who says it's opinion should be immediately ignored. He has improved. He continues and will continue to improve. Just because it doesn't fit your dumbass narrative doesn't make it true.

Against FSU Daniels had 7 passes of 15 yards or more, out of 22 completions. He had 3 more passes of 15 or more yards dropped. He had 2 certain TD's dropped as well.

All you dipshits who are calling for Daniels to be replaced, or who think he's a finished product, you are really just clinging tightly to the memories of The Greatest Season a college QB has ever had. Rein in your expectations. JD5, nor Garrett Nussmeier is Joe Burrow. No one is. He's the highest paid NFL player of all time for a reason.

Daniels will continue to improve as this season goes on, and thankfully so will Nussmeier. So much so that hopefully by the time Nuss is starting, y'all wont be calling for his head in favor of whomever the back up QB is by then.

Who am I kidding ? Every good LSU fan's favorite player is always gonna be whomever the backup QB is.

What do you mean by “style?”

If by “style” you mean “that success of an offense”, hardly anyone has. That’s an asinine expectation.

If by “style”, you mean the “Joe Brady offense”? No thanks. If you don’t have a Burrow, you don’t make that offense work. And Burrow is a legend.
