I said I personally believe hes going to do big things this year, I believe he’s the best SS on the team. I also believe this team is talented and deep enough that our starting SS is going to have to hit the ball and if they don’t, they’ll revolve. I don’t know what you’re confused about, maybe I’m talking over your head.

Who do you see taking over SS? I know you're going to say Milam, and I get it. He's not ready for that, though. I love him but he's not ready for that. Let him get his reps at 2B this year. Who else would even be considered? Nippolt?

Braswell is the SS. The end.

He’s hit the ball hard in damn near half his at bats this year. As far as “polished” SS he is the only one but if he struggles at the plate, imo they won’t stay committed to one player

I personally don’t see anyone other than Braswell at SS, I don’t know how I ended up defending that position.

You literally said you think we have a bunch of middle infielders that are competent, when we literally only have Nippolt who is just a UI and Milam who’s a freshman that will likely be the primary 2B. Gavin Guidry is not a SS.

Braswell can hit around 250 and he’ll still be at SS.

I don’t know what you don’t get about saying we have other good infielders and Braswell is the best one but he’s going to have to hit, it is absolutely destroying your mind. I don’t want to argue with you, quit acting like you caught me saying contradicting things. Go back to the OT psycho

He's only struck out twice. If his K rate rises, that is the only problem I could see Jay having. And, even if his K rate rises, he's still the best defensive option at SS until he isn't.

Point is: Multiple things have to happen for Braswell to be taken out of the lineup. Those multiple things won't happen consistently enough to warrant a move. They just won't. Braswell is a veteran SEC infielder that has almost always hit the ball hard. You don't just replace that without a complete implosion. And, again, we won't see a complete implosion. He will continue to improve at SS and continue to hit the ball hard without striking out.

This board is going to blow up when he ends up being our leadoff hitter.

He could hit .750 against the best pitchers in the country and there would be people bitching because he didn’t do it against the Braves

Let’s see how he does in a 30 game SEC season.

You do know he’s already played in the SEC at SS right?

Not all baseball players understand the game- I played with plenty of guys in high school and college I wouldn’t want coaching a team I cared about…

Ethan Fry is the hitter that baffles me. He can't seem to buy a hit but looks like he could rake! Johnson must know something as he keeps giving him opportunities to play but he needs to start hitting or by the time SEC starts he will not see the field again this year.
