Shouldn't he either commit a crime or play DB first?

Yea, guess they feel confident leaning on Etling as the veteran guy. Always liked Harris and feel he's got potential. Was looking forward to seeing him in an actual system. Hope he does well.

I figured he'd actually like to play his last year.

I hope LSJ is the next Jalen Hurts....he has the offensive line to do it. I just won't get my hopes up

I think a more realistic comparison would be Blake Sims. Hurts is a big kid 6'2 210 and a pretty powerful runner. Scott is below 6'0 and although he's listed at 210 on LSU's roster, I don't buy it.

Sims was very efficient though for Bama. I could see Scott being the same for LSU. He's not going to necessarily wow you with big arm strength or size, but I think he could find a way to keep the chains moving. Scott would have had zero chance of playing under Miles/Cameron, which always made me wonder why he came to LSU. With Canada I think he has a legitimate shot of competing after this season (or possibly this season). I'm not quite sold on Narcisse as a passer yet and the knee injuries scare you. Brennan obviously can throw it, but he has to develop physically. It would be tough for him to make it though a full season right now.

Damn it. His leadership and team first attitude will be missed in a big way.

They were saying no way a redshirt freshman would be ok play if Etling went down.

Wait, what? Really? He was many things (many of them good), but a great representative isn't really one that comes to mind.

ULL - I think Jennings was trying to get another year. Not sure if NCAA ruled or not.

kinda surprising he doesn't want to at last compete for the job this spring

Agree

He could have transferred at the end of spring and still had a year remaining after sitting out 1 year at his next school.

I'm willing to bet the Coaches let him know it's best for all if he saves face and moves on.
