thats probably it. Harris has been living out there for a while now.

throwing was not a problem. The mental part was a problem.

Lol. Brandon Harris is Herman's North Louisiana recruiting strategy?
Uh, ok.
Uh, ok.

What the hell do you think?? Lmao Some of you I swear! You expect Larry Fedora to do what exactly?? To fix in 1 year or season the damage that Cameron and Miles did in his whole career at LSU?? Lol Not gon happen,
So explain how Mettenberger improved every year under Cameron and Miles. If memory serves, Harris didn’t like watching film. Bottom line is that his accuracy on intermediate routes was abysmal. To be an effective QB you don’t have to have the mobility of Johnny Manziel, the size of Cam Newton, the leadership of Tim Tebow or the arm strength of JaMarcus Russell. But if you can’t hit an open receiver on a 10 yard curl you need to find another position or another sport.

Brandon Harris was a terrible QB. Some of you are on another planet if you think Harris ever was going to be a true SEC caliber QB.
Harris also bombed out at UNC where he was pulled in favor of a true freshman.
Harris could not make the throws he needed to make. Period.
Lol gotta love the know-it-all’s on this board. Brandon dealed with an injury most of the season at UNC and was even a scratch in at least 2 games. UNC was overall awful that year mainly due to injuries across the board.
Here’s a little tidbit most on this board are not aware of: BH was named offensive MVP in the Tropicana Senior Bowl after a stellar game. Guess who else was on that same team? Danny Etling. Not a bad way to end a career that had so much promise coming out of high school.

So he got an MVP in a meaningless exhibition game....that means very little in terms of noteworthy achievements.
Let’s revisit the last drive of the game at Lambeau when he crapped himself and telegraphed a throw to the other team.

I'd never heard this so I looked it up and...
quote:
Etling connected on 6-of-14 passes for 59 yards and connected on a 4-yard touchdown pass on the final play of the game in a 26-20 loss on Sunday. He was sacked twice but took care of the football as the only signal caller for the National squad to not throw an interception.
quote:
Harris completed 7-of-16 balls for 53 yards with a 3-yard scoring strike to offset an interception. He added 16 yards on five runs and was sacked once.
The numbers for both quarterbacks were not eye-popping by any means, but Harris was one of two National players who took home Offensive MVP honors.
ain't nothing stellar about that, not even by Harris' LSU standards.

look, I think Harris was a decent QB for us and probably gets a little too much hate on this board. but he was abysmal at UNC (I've said on a couple occasions that he probably should've taken a redshirt after his transfer to get acclimated to a new scheme). I wish the dude well.

Judging by the stats that someone has already provided... it OBVIOUS the BH was the clear cut Offensive MVP!! I mean, check it out... based on his numbers I thought it was TL from Clemson back there.

Why the hate?
So what if he didn't live up to your expectations. Miles and his staff are responsible for him coming to LSU. Miles evaluation and development of QBs is obvious. Don't transfer Miles incompetence to the recruit.
Think: Hint
Dak Prescot - Dan Mullen
Brandon Harris - Les Miles

Did he live up to yours? If so, you have rather low expectations.
Blame Miles all you want and yes he might deserve some criticism when it comes to development, however, when Harris is in a position to win a game and throws a ball to the other team with the game on the line, that’s on Harris.
I got sick and tired of him taking himself up beginning in HS and continuing to at LSU. Bottom line, he never could back his mouth up with his play.
Great interview, below average on the field.

They gave out 5 mvp awards in that game, including:
Actual game MVP (not Harris)
Then each team gave out 2 MVPs. Harris got one of them for the losing team in spite of throwing a 4th quarter interception.
I wish him luck except against LSU, but it is his fanboys like you who exaggerate how good he is that make it look like the rest of us are attacking him. Every poor pass you guys were throwing shade on our receivers.

Why does that matter? Kids every year, at every school, are heavily recruited and don't pan out. He wasn't some exception because of lack of development. He just didn't have it. That's normal in top level CFB.

Considering how this fanbase has treated him, it may be understandable.
Woah, Harris probably got the least shite out of any QB under Miles. Most people were firmly in the blame miles train by then because we had seen this before with Jennings, jj and Lee. Fans were happy he was going to UNC so he could prove how good he was and how shite Miles was. Problem was Harris wasn't good.

He was such a bad qb. It really was amazing to watch. I don’t usually down talk players but him and Jennings should not have been starting qb’s at LSU
So when he was a grad transfer and could pick any offense in the country, he still sat the bench.
It’s hard for everyone just accept, but he just didn’t have what it takes. Rewatch the Wisconsin film.

Did JJ do that?
Did Lee?
What do those guys have in common? Hint, it wasn't skin color.
The correct answer is Head Coach.
He did not live up to my expectations.
Name the quarterback recruits, signed by Miles, that lived up to your expectations.
That shouldn't take long, unless your expectations were extremely low. ;)
