It's crazy to me that you have this opinion. Your other option was tanking in a huge way. Harris had more confidence heading into Auburn after the NMST game then at any point during the entire year BY FAR. It's absolutely absurd to think things would have been different at Auburn if Harris had started against NMST. Road game at Auburn was going to be a TOUGH situation anyway.

I think it should be clear that the coaches, by starting Jennings against NMST, were planning on starting him at Auburn. But, the combination of Jennings' performance and Harris' performance against NMST made it impossible to do that. And, by the way, not only was it not obvious that it was a mistake, the very large majority of fans agreed with the decision. All of the talking heads (Hannagriff, Rush, Risher, etc.) agreed.
