2018 yielded a 10-3 record with the 7OT loss, a 3 turnover UF game and the Bama beatdown. If we are closer to 2019 capable offensively we are likely a 1 loss team which is better than my predicted 10-2 or 9-3. I'm happy with that. We will be a veteran team in 2021 and we should be a contender again.

Are you talking about this:
quote:

Peyton Ramsey, QB, Indiana
Perhaps it seemed like a shock when Indiana quarterback Peyton Ramsey entered the transfer portal. But the Hoosiers leader, who had such a strong close to the season, didn't even begin it as the starter.

He lost the job to Michael Penix Jr. as a redshirt junior and didn't win it back until Penix was lost for the year because of a clavicle injury in early November. So with Penix returning, Ramsey will play his final season of eligibility elsewhere.

It's possible he's the best remaining signal-caller on the market.

Ramsey is first all-time at IU in completion percentage (66.5 percent, minimum 200 attempts), second in completions (633) and fourth in passing yards (6,581 yards). He nearly gutted out a Gator Bowl win over Tennessee in his final game as a Hoosier too.

There aren't any rumored potential destinations for Ramsey, though anybody needing a starter or depth would be wise to look his way. Michigan State, for one, would be a great spot, but we've already awarded the Spartans with Boston College transfer Anthony Brown.

So, here is an out-of-the-box thought: Why not LSU?

The defending national champions were gutted by graduating seniors and early NFL departures, so building the roster with a few transfers would be wise.

With Burrow gone, it's expected Myles Brennan will slide into the starting role. But behind him is a pair of freshmen. Why not bring in Ramsey, let him compete for the job and improve the quarterback room?

The last Ohio native (Burrow) who transferred to the Bayou did pretty well.

Prediction: LSU

Bleacher Report and others speculating on LSU taking a QB transfer is not the same as LSU showing serious interest.

Yep. I don't understand why we didn't try harder to retain Munoz or Mangas, if for no other reason than for the sake of offensive continuity.

Having an OC that's pushing 70 and several assistants that are well over 40 can't be enticing to young kids who hope to be part of a dynamic and innovative offense.

I've been ok with most of Orgeron's hires, but I don't think that replacing young guns with old farts is a smart move. Maybe they're part of the Rosy Finch Boys?

funny..Panther fans are freaking out that they are hiring all these college guys and there are very few on staff with any real NFL experience...lol

Heck, right now LSU staff has more NFL experience than the Panthers and thats just counting the analysts!!!

Since when did 40 year old coaches become "old"?

Dust hasn't even settled on our Natty and this crap is starting again?

We shouldn’t honestly.

Huh?

This is what we're replacing:

- Our GOAT Heisman winning QB
- Half of our OL
- Our 2nd best WR
- Our only really experienced RB
- Our only TE with good experience
- The designer of our offense and 3rd down/RZ play caller
- Several offensive analysts that, per Burrow, were highly valuable

But you think we shouldn't take a step back offensively? Even the best coaches and reloaded talent would take a step back from that. You can't replace experience.

I love how everyone totally forgets they had no clue who the frick Joe Brady even was this time last year.

And Lester bitches about blue skies and 65 degree days so take his expert analysis with a grain of salt.

Lester, you have no clue how this staff will work together so how do you know what that reality looks like?

All the d bag contrarians love to get hot and bothered w the idea that there may be something new to bitch about
Coming off the greatest season in college football history, can we wait for something negative to actually happen before we cry about “the regression”
No we will Not throw for 60 td this year but we will likely compete for the west again which is all you can hope for going into a season

Because I know Ensminger is a shitty play caller. And while Linehan has had sporadic success, his latest body of worth is uninspiring.

So there is a lot to sort out.

You know who doesn’t follow recruiting? You.

LSU isn’t targeting Peyton Ramsey. If LSU was going to get a transfer, it would’ve been at midterm so he could go through spring practice.
