We will find out on 30 AUG. If we can run the ball it will open up the passing game for our young QB and he doesn't have to be that experienced.

I've been hearing this almost every year since about 2005. I'll believe it when I see it.

LSU will just have to figure out how to keep their entire team from losing players year to year so Brad will be ok with their chances and that HCB will understand the point being made.
What is the point? The majority of tRant expects LSU to lose between 2-4 games, but a guy who went to Alabama says it and he's an idiot. Saying we are inexperienced at the skill positions this year is accurate, just like next year saying we'll be inexperienced on the OLine is accurate.

Being young and being able to compete are not mutually exclusive.
If we can make a national title game with JJ and JL at QB anything can happen.

I thought I was being snarky at first, but now I realize that you really didn't understand the point I was making. Sorry. Carry on.

Id like to know your point

Brad Edwards overvalues experience as to LSU annually. He does not use the same criteria for others in the conference. Whether he is right in his prediction or not, or whether he is stupid for predicting what he predicted was not my point nor addressed. Ancillary point, over the next two years Brad Edwards will level the same criticisms at LSU's teams in the ares noted in my post infra. Hope that puts you on the right path this time.

Why does everyone keep saying this. Everyone reads somoene else's opinion to form theirs. Quit being sheep, MSU will suck like always

How much did Edwards harp on Bama having no experience at QB and lots of new faces on the Oline? I'm sure it was no big deal.

Because they return a good slot receiver, their front 7 which was good, and the equivalent of Chris Relf. Pop the bubbly.

State worries me less than the road trip to arky.

True. But the 2011 defense and special teams were incredibly dominant. The offense started out well, but then slowly regressed as the season went along. Hindsight is always 20/20, but you could kind of see the BCSNCG offensive performance coming from a mile away. Struggled offensively against W.Ken. Struggled against Ark. in the first half until ST provided a spark. ZERO first downs against UGA in 1st half, again, ST provided the spark.
In 2011, LSU could, and did win games even with some pathetic play from the QB position at times. I'm not so concerned that the QB's this year are young, as much as I don't think the D can be as good as the 2011 version. Thus, the QBs will have to make some big plays to win games. It's not unreasonable to think that two very young QBs will make some (potentially costly) mistakes.

LSU won 9 games in 2010 with a starting QB who threw FOUR touchdowns...
FOUR!
FOUR!

That's not fair. You didn't even mention that he limited his interceptions to 9. That was a huge help.

Our offense and defense will both be in the top 25 nationally.

I agree and the same thing could be said about Bama but never is. The young guys for both teams could also be like Winston. Time will tell.
