Looks like the vaunted turnstile technique

I still think Davis is a good coach. He hasn’t had enough time to teach and get the confidence in the guys and enough time to get the players he wants.

not much for him to work with.

I don't think Davis is the issue. I believe the issue is the talent level is low enough that a transfer from Harvard came in and immediately started.

if you got an actual answer would you actually know what it meant?

He has made a living teaching the Turnstile technique.
Its very difficult to master but the Key is to turn and guide the defenders to the ball.
edit: someone beat me to the joke.

Reverse pancake from what I can tell.
But how much can really be put on him alone. I think we do a bad job of concealing our weaknesses up front with playcalling/design.
While we had a good O-line in 2019, a QB with Burrow's pocket awareness, and plays being called to take heat off of the line can make a huge difference.

I don’t think Davis is the issue. He was brought in late and has had limited time to coach up the OL. He’s also hampered by the actual OL players we have.

Brad Davis needs time to get his own players in there.
There is major tension right now between Coach Davis and the players. They aren't responding well to his style of Coaching. Is is really hard on the players. Cregg was the opposite.

I agree, Max is doing a good job at QB, but we could use a little more RPO and check down to run when opposing teams are showing a 3 man front. If we did that they would have to abandon 3 man front and actually defend the run.

Dont really think this stuff is Davis's fault this OL was a Shite Show before he got here. I've heard the haven't responded to him coaching them much harder than that useless POS Cregg did.

It's been a disaster so far. I realize he came in late. And, I realize he doesn't have a bunch of talent to work with.
But, even so, the absolute continuous confusion is hard to accept.

The one where our OL guys take steps backwards so as not to generate any push forward.
Also, the technique of being as stationary as possible on running plays because cardio for our OL could cause heart damage or collapse.

I’m not an Oline guru but all of this “blocking scheme” jargon is a little confusing to me.
The scheme is dictated by the play call is it not. Zone, Counter, ISO.
Basically you block a play different based on the call and defensive alignment. We can’t block anything, anyway, anyhow. That’s not because our Oline coach has a different scheme. He may have blocking techniques around hand placement and their first step but otherwise you block the play according to the offensive scheme.
