I have no problem with that. In fact that's what I want to see. I really thought the fact that we have a high powered offense that can score lots of points would encourage Aranda to be more aggressive on D because we don't have to hold on defensively and hope the O scores. He should be licking his chops to cut these guys loose. We need to attack and force turnovers and get sacks. Vs Texas all 4 sacks came when we rushed 5.

You have to be able to mix coverages, but they struggled way too much when they go zone.

This! I'm no expert, but those that know say you have to mix it up to disguise coverages and blitzes. Lot of work to do.

I think it’s more about the scheme. They don’t seem to get the Zone

I remember in Chavis’ scheme the nickel would always bring pressure.

I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen aranda blitz the nickel.

If Vincent is gonna be out there at least take advantage of His speed and blitz him since he can’t cover worth’ a shite

No shite. You said last week that Stingley should be used like Mathieu was.

You also change your tune daily. Last week it was a thread to shite on Aranda. Then it was a thread saying the defense is fine. Now it's back to hating the defense.

If our defense doesn't get fixed we will get killed in the SEC!!! We better play man as we suck at zone!

you still lumping the Bama game into the bad defense list? We all know you're a clueless moron already, but just wanted to make sure you're still showing it so blatantly.

Delpit lead the team in sacks last season blitzing off of the edge. That’s the exact same thing you’re talking about.

CB depth was pointed out as a concern area all offseason. The problem is every time it was mentioned it was shouted down by “NEGATIGER!!!!”

When you’re starting a true freshman, and have 3 true freshman in the 2 deep for the nickel package, you have depth problems. I don’t care how talented they are, or how good they’ll be in the future. They’re freshman and will make mistakes.

Did anyone listen to Saban’s post game presser this weekend about how his defense doesn’t work if their offensive run game isn’t working? He correlated it well. I think the same is true here. A heavy-successful passing attack by our offense exposes our defense down the stretch because it puts them on the field way more often than average.

Hold that Tiger is right. You change your narrative almost every day.

Just stop already please.

It’s this, it’s that. Give it a rest and just watch and enjoy the games.

And throw away your radio.

You change your tune daily. Now it's about the defense holding back its schemes, holding back for the SEC teams. Do us a favor, let us know when Aranda's secret playbook arrives.

Bruh, why do you just totally make shite up? This is literally a copied and pasted quote from something I said less than 10 post ago. At least when you make up garbage, do a little fact checking first so you don't look like an even bigger idiot.

quote:

We played Texas last week. There was no holding back anything with the defense. There are some legit concerns on that side of the ball right now. Hopefully they get fixed before November, but if the defense looks better it will not be because we held anything back

Anyone saying we held back against UT is a fool. We struggled in the 2nd half, albeit against a very good QB and very good offensive coach. It wasn't because of some kind of mythical secret playbook we were hiding. Sometimes great offenses show out against good or great defenses.

That said, a let down in the 1st half against NWST shouldn't have been much of a shock to anyone. It also did seem pretty clear that Aranda was tinkering with some things early on in that game and then at halftime we turned it up and absolutely dominated them in the 2nd half.

One glaring problem I see is that Delpit thinks he's Laron frickin Landry and can just drop a shoulder and knock people down...and he can't! He needs to get back to wrapping up! By my count he has missed 3 BIG tackles in the last 2 games by running into a guy with a shoulder only to have the guy guy bounce off and continue downfield!

You post lies. Fans don't hate on Aranda, we hate the way LSU's defense has looked over the last 5 games. Get that through your effing hard head!
