104.5 - Dline was missing starters so they get sort of a pass still need improvement with the pressure. In the secondary, Harris was not playing well, but before he got hurt he was getting everyone in their right assignments. Now you’re seeing blown coverages and Vincent is being targeted regularly by offenses.

You probably will get ripped, but there is a lot of truth to this. We need to and should get a lot better.

Some of us have been concerned about the LSU defense over the last 5 games, and got torched for expressing such concern. How dare we! Now they say Aranda’s saving the secret playbook for the SEC and Alabama. We know that’s not true.

I'm shocked delpit is not that vocal leader

If he intends to leave , He is costing himself some money this year .

I think they listened to too much noise and ate too much rat poison. This board spent the entire off-season declaring them the greatest secondary in LSU history. They received too many pre-season All American honors and were placed on too many award watchlists. Now they can't run with their giant heads.

They'll come back down to Earth soon enough.

Delpit has one issue and one issue only. Finish your tackles.

He can hit but he does not wrap up

Meh. Tale of two halves.

Eppler threw for 175 in the first half vs an uninterested defense. Arranda made a change at halftime and they shut him down.

53 passing yards in the 2nd half, and 78 total yards given up in the 2nd half.

We'll be alright.

Thanks DJ.

People can say what they want, but to me this is looking to be one of the worst defenses we've had in a long time. I'll save judgement until after the Florida game though. Rashard Lawrence was a wrecking ball against Texas before he got hurt, and i think he makes a big difference, as well as Chaisson, to how good the defense can be.

Fulton didn’t give up anything Saturday.

Vincent gave up at least 5 catches on his own. He’s been the constant target of opposing offenses thus far.

Secondary was great Saturday. In good position constantly. Too many dropped interceptions.

I’m starting to lean towards Aranda recognized that we are weak in zone and has been trying to work on this. We will need to swap between zone and man to give QBs different looks, especially if the offense is going balls to the wall.

As long as they play northwestern every week

The "best secondary ever" is getting abused

Defense in recent games has had some trouble with spread teams. The zone defense seems to be where LSU is making big mistakes. Guys seem to be wide open against it. Was hoping vincent would be an asset back there but currently a liability along with the lb's trying to cover as well. Not sure what can be done? LSU is already running some true freshman for depth but without a pass rush this will be a problem.

Zone is where the inexperience of our CB’s outside of Fulton is being exposed. The second touchdown for Northwestern looked like LSU was playing cover 3 and Stingley played man when he should have been playing in the deep third zone that the guy was wide open in. Those types of things will get better with experience and relatively soon. It’s a good thing to get in film so you can coach exactly what was wrong.

This LSU team is beginning to remind me of an Aggies team that had to totally rely on Johnny Manzel. The only difference is Joe Burrow is a better QB.

Saying part of the defense or the defense altogether is a concern is a far cry than saying Aranda is overrated like many are wont to do.

You missed the 1st half then when the NWst receiver caught the pass with no one in 15 yards from him and walked into the end zone.

You have to be able to mix coverages, but they struggled way too much when they go zone.

Why give the d line a pass?

We weren’t getting much pressure in the previous 2 games either and we were at full strength
