Might as well get this thread started. We'll resume with Tulane batting with the bases loaded and 2 outs in the top of the 7th.

We were both the home team in our first game, so yeah higher seed gets it

Didnt they pass a rule last year to make the host all time home team tho?

I thought there was a new rule where a host team in a regional or super got to be the home team throughout the tournament, but I saw Alabama was the visiting team yesterday. I'm wondering WTF?

No, Kendall was mistaken. The rule is only that if the teams have been away the same number of times then the better seed is home.

D1 baseball shows LSU on the bottom of box score..but that may not matter so I’m not sure if they’re home

This will get asked a lot. The rules of "how many times have you been home/visitor before" still apply, the higher seed is only used as a tiebreaker if those are the same between both teams.

Side note: how stupid is it that it's even a question of who the home team is?

You work all season to be able to host...shouldn't you be the home team all throughout?

OSU was home team vs SH. Both teams were home team once so higher seed is home team. Think that’s how it works. If SH would have won, they’d be home team today

I did see Leah Vann tweet yesterday that LSU was home team last night. I don’t anything changes because we are playing a day later so I’m expecting us to be home team

Dang. I didn’t realize they scheduled the lsu start only 2 hours after the Tulane restart.

Having to give 55 minutes between games, I guess the NCAA is confident in a quick finish to “game 3”.

LSU loaned Skenes to Sam Houston to close out Tulane quick

Almost as stupid as trying to finish a game 2 hours before the next one is scheduled when you know a 55 minute break between games is required. Tulane should have started at 10 or 11 today to make sure LSU starts at 2

But what if the committee just gives a host spot because a team’s AD is on the committee (looking at Auburn)?

I’ve never been offended by the “host team” having to play as visitors in the regional/super regional. Isn’t playing in your own park, in front of your home crowd advantage enough?

Now for the Supers, I never liked the coin flip for game 3.

What's the weather looking like in BR for today? I have a 90 minute drive ahead and need to know if I should wait or just cancel.
