That does indeed look odd.

This is the first time I've seen a turf mound. Almost every other all turf field I've seen at least had a dirt mound. I've seen a lot of combinations with dirt base paths, sliding boxes, home plate what have you but I've never seen one without a dirt mound. Bizarre. Wonder what it's like to pitch from.

There's a minimum of 55 minutes between games. So unless this one finishes by 6:05, our game will be pushed back.

Well, no baseball game has ever lasted more than three hours, so we should be OK.

But what about a game featuring a SWAC pitching staff vs. a team that is capable of 7 errors in a game?

I tried to find out about it, but all the of the info I found only listed the playing field as artificial turf.

Did find this little tidbit- Schroeder Park (UH) and Baum Stadium (Ark) have a combined average attendance less than LSU, but they both have larger scoreboards; they have the largest and second largest in college baseball.

Why are there no tickets on stubhub? Usually they have the whole weekend listed.

What was the rain delay for? It was nothing but a light drizzle at the house here. Should have played through it

I think it's becoming more common. Pretty sure Notre Dame had a turf mound when LSU played up there last year. And I want to say UNO or maybe Tulane is like that as well.
