You guys act like this was a consistently good team all season.
They got on a hot streak at the end of the season against bad teams and had a good series against FL and won a couple games in the SECT.
This just isn't a very good baseball team. The baseball IQ is super low, coaches included.

I'll bet this is an LSU strategy because it happens every postseason. They'll have a game where nobody understands why they just swing at all the first pitches they get. I'll bet PM tells them to do this as an aggressive strategy hoping they hit gaps to put pressure on the other team. Of course it always bites us in the arse. LSU has shown good plate discipline for the majority of this season so I don't think it's coincidence. Even in this regional we made all the pitchers work the count so swinging at first pitches makes no sense here.
I sadly believe you are right. Hit the panic button quick and try to be too aggressive.

Where the hell is our hitting coach? Our hitters have NO plan at the plate - no patience, no looking for a pitch to drive. <25 pitches on a scab through 3. That's BS!
Yeah they do. Apparently it's swing at everything

Otto coming in next for Rice
Graham could come in and toss underhanded and still beat LSU.

All we need is just one inning still. We have to get some fire and emotion to ignite things though. I still feel like we will win this game in the mid to late innings.

Hit batter and needing an incredible play from Robertson typically isn't considered pitching well.

Maineri is ready to go BBQ with coach stud and peveto
He can't develop a 3rd starter or cleanup hitter like miles can't develop a QB

thank you, thats nothing once we get the sticks going, we're just in a funk, we hit well last night, we'll hit well today

Well they looked bad at the beginning showing they were a young team but past that point they've progressively gotten better except here...
I don't recall any streaks past the beginning where the LSU team just went into a massive funk again. Seemed to me they just got better as the season went on.

Poche is the spark we needed.
Game feels different already.
