No one is requiring anything as no one is required to go to a game. A ticket is a conditional license granting you access to a seat for an event. Game attendance is not mandatory. The license can be suspended or revoked at any point and the conditions can be modified per the fine print. If you don’t want to share the information, you simply don’t have to go the game. It’s not an “absolute atrocity.”
