LSU vs Nebraska in the Gator Bowl would be acceptable.
LSU vs. Minnesota......not so much.

Yep, I agree 100%

There is zero sex appeal with a Minnesota matchup. I would love beating this piss out of Pelini

funny how fans prefer playing against the "brand name" teams (Michigan/Nebraska) instead of teams with lesser tradition even if the later defeated the former convincingly.

Iowa has a branding problem. Everyone hates ethanol.

Jerry Palm is prolly wondering what the hell is goin on though. Middle Tennessee just somehow got a MWC spot when the MWC didn't have any bowl slots to give away. Weird.

Means almost a million less dollars for LSU though. Outback payout is 3.5 million. Gator is 2.7.

As has been said repeatedly, it doesn't matter how much money the bowl pays. Every SEC school pools all the money together and divides it 15 ways.

Sorry...hadn't been said on here in the last day or so and I guess I just didn't see that while looking at other school's bowl situations. Excuse my ignorance. Sorry.

Long way to travel. Outdoor bowl in an area that has Baton Rouge type winter weather. 11:00 am 1/1/14 start. One hour drive to the stadium from the only cool places to stay which are Fernandina Beach or St. Augustine.
