Well that school and coaches can remove that scholarship or “process” a player at any time for any reason.
So if the school can do that, why can’t the player choose to leave whenever he wants.
I’m not saying I like it, be you can’t force these kids to play just for your enjoyment

Lol ok. College sports have always made money for the respective school but the atmosphere has changed significantly in the past 20 years and is now out of control.
Oh and not sure how old you are but I can remember when one TV game a year was huge for LSU. It’s ruined now.

If it’s ruined for you, that’s your problem. I can still watch a meaningless bowl game with walk ons and backups and enjoy it.
Part of me is excited to see what we have going into next year.

Bowl games matter the same amount as any regular season game once you're out of the national championship hunt. Really once we had lost a few games at the beginning of the season none of the games really mattered anymore than this bowl game matters. But it does help or hurt your record and to that amount it does matter. Also a bowl game win helps give you positive momentum going into the spring. When you lose a bowl game you look like losers.

It is frivolous, selfish, and moronic to get upset over a useless bowl. But again you have a ton of morons with double digit IQs on the Rant. The 3 that have opted out did the right thing and if they did play, they would have been almost as stupid as the ranters bitching about them opting out.

Does it matter ? Absolutely! The additional allowed practices almost equal spring football. Damn right it matters, whether a playoff or TX Bowl.
