Boutte also said that he contemplated leaving this past off-season. It's now been confirmed.

It's obvious he was seriously looking at transferring to Alabama. Really good job by BK and staff keeping him here along with the NIL money he'll receive.

Unless Boutte sustains some serious injury, he will leave for the draft after this season. He wants to put up some impressive numbers this year to improve his draft stock and he knows he will be WR target #1 in LSU's offense. Good luck to him this year and hope he sets himself apart from every WR in college football.

And? If he was talking to him regularly it might be a concern.

Yes...that's certainly not ideal.

As always. Players don’t talk to other coaches aside from the occasional interaction. What do you want them to do, should Denbrock invite Boutte over for dinner? Players are going to spend the vast majority of their time with their position coach.

The difference is a top WR will have more plays run for him. No one on the o line has plays run for them.

He’s started more games and entered the transfer fewer times than the hero Brennan

There’s more to football than running routes dude you have to build relationships especially if someone is your best player who you gave #7 to in year 1 with a new staff.

This is unrealistic. That OC has duties that keep him working 75 hours per week in his office and on the road. The only time he probably sees Boutte is in an all-offense meeting or during a practice session. When are they going to build this relationship? And who else should have a deep relationship with him? The position coach? The passing game coordinator? The OC? The head coach? That’s a lot of coaching staff time building relationships with one guy.

I think the analogy to a business is a good one. Picture a business with 150 people. A first-line employee probably has a relationship with his supervisor, but with his supervisor’s boss? Maybe, but probably not. And these guys are only there three or four years.

Not really that shocking. BK seems to have things run very efficient. Boutte probably talks to Hankton a lot. Hankton probably tells Boutte what needs to be done. If there is a bigger issue goes to OC, then probably BK.

Kelly seems to run it like a business. Got your employees, managers, VPs, President. Just my take. Sort of goes along with BK’s comments about Boutte, and what needs to happen, etc

My first impression was that it was a shot back at Kelly from the backhanded compliment he gave him yesterday. "Boutte can be the best receiver in CFB... if he comes around to our way" or something like that. The reason I felt it was a slight comeback was when I saw the comment Kelly made I thought "oooh, this might not sit well" and this is not the first time he has done it.

The only think you know is how to start and continue a shite thread. You have no idea what goes on into the workings of a top tier football program.

Fins somewhere else to play.

It’s been confirmed for a while. Bama had an NIL deal in place and Boutte was gone. Gordon McKernan found out and went to see him and his Dad and changed their mind. That is 100% facts.

And that’s shocking since Saban is so anti NIL and all that. He’s all about the integrity of college football ya know?

Maybe because Boutte needs to stop acting like he is better than the rest of the team and get in line. Kelly doesn’t need to tip toe around him anymore. If he transfers now he can’t play this season and he is leaving after the year anyway. I

Y'all reading into this way too much per usual. As far as Boutte's attitude goes how is anyone questioning his drive when he was one of the only players giving 200% into last season? Most players quit by the time he got hurt.

Hank doesn’t call plays. If the player you run the most plays for doesn’t talk to the dude who calls plays that’s odd…

It’s Yankton’s job to instruct Boutte and all the WR’s what to do on every play. He should be the guy they talk to the most.
