I've seen it go back and forth between scheme, personnel, injuries, depth, fast white qb, all being blamed as the cause(s) for LSU's defensive inconsistency.

Bottom Line: does Aranda get it fixed or improved heading into the SECCG or is this the defense we have for the rest of the year?

You are who you are after 10 games.

This defense is what it is at this point. No amount of coaching will fix it in the last few weeks. They have pretty substantial holes/flaws, but they're good enough to win it all with this offense.

We are who we are.

We have a serviceable defense which works for us this year since we can score with anyone

Nah. Offense will have to carry us. We just gave to pray the defense can get the critical stops.

So, the defense we played in the first half of Bama and the first half of Ole Miss should have been played in the second half of those games?

Got it. I'll let Coach Aranda know - he probably hasn't even thought of that.

I'm not worried about the defense at all after last night one iota. Cause we will not face another team like Ole Miss for the remainder of the season.

The reason why Ole Miss was able to run the ball on LSU last night so easily is that in essence, Ole Miss was a triple-option team like Georgia Southern. However, cause Aranda didn't prepare the defense to face a triple-option team, Ole Miss was able to gash LSU numerous times in the second half.

Now luckily that game is over and we won by 21 points. Now let's move on without sweating that game so much, cause there is not another team like them that we will face for the rest of the season.

Nope, we just suffer through hoping the offense scores a lot: more than defense allows!

I think it’s honestly easier then we think. We’re solid when we scheme up and actually need stops. Our problem the last 2 weeks has been giving up long blown plays. We literally aren’t having this conversation if we don’t give up like 5 long td’s the last 2 weeks.

Now we need players to make some plays out of the front seven, but for every bad defensive possession we had last night, there was a very good one too.

This was my takeaway as well. It seemed like OM was successful at catching us off guard.

I don't think Arky, gaggy, or UGA will or can do that.

Hmm, that's funny, I don't remember saying that.

Kirby is stubborn offensively. He may try a trick play here and there, but that's it. The offense we see UGA running right now is the offense they'll run in ATL.
