250 bones for these right next to the student section, but they don't have any pairs together. If you are serious about it, you should buy those 2 singles and then walk into the student section which is gen admission and stand together in the student section.

it will be up there.

What kind of prices am I looking at?
on game day maybe $150-200 for uppers, $200-300 for lowers. that is worst case, from past experience. Online ahead of time, varies. But, you can ALWAYS find a ticket on gameday if you have the cash.

The pre-game atmosphere and tailgating is worth the trip. Even if you can't get tickets, you can go to a bar and enjoy the game on TV.
very true. i am making the drive even though i don't have tickets. if i can find some on that saturday then great, if not then i will be at walk-ons.

How hard is it to just walk into the student section? Thanks

Like they said. Even if you don't get in, outside Tiger Stadium for that game will be the second best place to be on the planet that night.
What you've heard about the tailgating doesn't even come close to it. It's like getting thrown into a prison during a riot if you're coming as a fan of the other team, and something between Mardi Gras and an orgasm if you go as an LSU fan.
Either way, you will be overwhelmed and have one of the most memorable times of your life. Even if you don't get in.

I have a friend from Boston, who i met at LSU. He and his family (brothers, brother-in-law, uncles) make a trip every year to a diferent site to watch games. They have been to ND, Mich, tOSU, ect. Last year his they came to LSU/Bama, and said that far and away this was the best experience they had.

you got hotel rooms before tickets for the biggest game of the year?
Would you recommend a Tiger fan book airfare and hotel rooms before buying tickets to a Yankees-Red Sox ALCS game?
Good comparison. We take our LSU Football serious down here. Good luck. On this website they have a "Ticket Exchange" Board. Every once in awhile a few will pop up, but you will have to be fast. They don't last long and expect to pay way over face value for them. StubHub would be a good spot if you don't mind forking out the money for guaranteed tickets.

I need to see and taste this first hand.
Hopefully USC loses again during the game and gives CFB another "loudest game ever" record.

50K or so fans outside the stadium who also don't have tickets.
in 07 there were something like 200K on the grounds...which means in excess of 100K that didn't have tickets...one of the most wild times i have ever had...i was fortunate enough to get free tickets and was offered upwards of 400 a piece for them.

If you get in the north endzone, easy as pie.
I think you can get into it from anywhere in the lower bowl...but I dunno about that personally.
Upper decks....forget about it.

If you are in the orange section, it's ridiculously easy. The student section on that map is roughly from 410-417 on top and from 401 to 405 on the bottom (could be off by a section or two). But there is an open walkway around that entire endzone and you can easily walk into the student section.
Not sure how you feel about 250 a pop for tickets, but I guess if you bought your hotel rooms and flights already than it would sort of suck not to be in the stadium for the game especially it being a once in a season sort of trip.
Either way, best of luck to you.

Agreed. If you are coming from Boston, first time in Tiger Stadium, and want to do it right, screw the upper decks. Find a way to get tickets in the lower bowl.

That was my thought. I heard just being there is worth the trip but since this might be a once in a lifetime, I'd try and get into the stadium. At the least to have the opportunity to yell at Tebow once. Hate that guy.

Doesn't matter whether you sit in the bowl or the uppers - for that game, every seat will be a good seat. We have uppers on the fifty and they're great.
Keep checking back closer to game time and put your post on the ticket exchange and bump it every now and again. As it gets closer, there might be more available. And if you don't score them ahead of time, come on down anyway. Likely, you can get some on game day and if not, there will be tons of tailgates around the stadium. My husband will be there. He'd rather watch it at a tailgate with a beer in hand than go in the staduim.
Welcome to our crazy arse world!

Post on the ticket exchange? Is that a specific website? Thanks for all the help everyone. I really appreciate it.

YOu can get tickets if you start now. It's not as impossible as some people would have you believe.
But money talks when it comes to LSU-Florida. If you speak the language, you'll get in.

not noonan but Walk-ons is a restaurant fairly close to Tiger stadium, known for its atmosphere IMO
