People dogging Greedy need to STFU. If I was his father I’d do everything in my power to prevent him from playing in the POS Bowl game. He’ll be drafted by a team that needs a great CB. Him skipping the bowl has Zero to do with his draft position.

Uh it was his junior year and he could have come back for the last 3 games after his injury. Instead, as soon as he had the injury, he withdrew from school and signed with an agent.

The OP is right though the NFL teams don’t care about bowls, people that think skipping the bowl hurt Williams are just creating their own narrative

He quit mid season didn’t he? Said he was going to wait for the draft instead of trying to get back with his team. Soft big 10,

He had a surgery that was going to keep him unable to do anything until at least December. But, yeah totally the same

Big difference in trying to prevent further damage on an already nagging injury, than quitting the team at a position that was already thin while your other 1st round teammate showed leadership and selflessness. Teams look at maturity and intangibles. Doing that crossed me as selfish and immature.

His injury was much more severe than was released.

In general, probably correct. But the NFL draft is made up of all kinds of people and personalities. I can assure you that at least a few GMs or HCs looks at that in a negative aspect. Some are still old fashion and value team loyalty. I think That's plausible

Whether you call it selfish or doing what's best for you it's not our call. How it makes you feel is irrelevant.

If you can play 100% they don’t give a damn.

But if Greedy would've played in the bowl game and gotten hurt, the same people shitting on him now would be calling him an idiot for not declaring

He has a child to worry about, frick the haters, he did what he had to do. I'm proud that he was a tiger and that he has an opportunity to get a shite ton of money for his family.
