We're still defending Greedy how many months later?

The bottom line is this is a relatively new trend, and it will prove bad for the sport. Skipping bowl games is one thing, but what Bosa did was a horrible precedent to set and may have even costed his team a championship.

Which has what to do with his time at LSU or this conversation?

did I say it did? He definitely received criticism for skipping the bowl game. I thought it was reasonable given his ankle issues he battled all year that never healed. However, he received a ton of criticism this year for getting out of shape while injured and then there were rumors of him being healthy enough to play the last week and then was called out by the owner for dicking around during the game. This sitting out the bowl game thing is very new to college football. Whether or not it has any sort of bearing on what types of commitment these guys will have as pros is yet to be seen for most. I don't believe sitting out a bowl game, in and of itself, shows a lack of commitment and/or being selfish, but I do think that sitting out a bowl game can be a contributing factor to someone who may have some of those same concerns already. Obviously something is concerning to owners with Greedy. For someone who has been seen as a first round lock for over a year to fall out with no drop in his play on the field, one could reasonably assume it's due to something else.

People dogging Greedy need to STFU. If I was his father I’d do everything in my power to prevent him from playing in the POS Bowl game.

And Devin White finished the season with his team and was drafted number 5. So?

Bosa was injured. Then had surgery. Then had rehab. He decided not to risk re-injuring the not-totally-healed injury. He was cleared, but he wasn't all that close to 100%

And, yeah, I think missing the bowl game hurt Greedy. A GM will wonder if Greedy will lay back around contract renewal time.

Bosa basically skipped the entire season and still went #2! He must be a fricking animal! What about Greedy? Yet to be determined but I don’t think Greedy is as good as we all thought. If he was he would have gone in the first.

This isn’t shitting on Greedy either y’all are the idiots comparing the situations.

Bosa got drafter high simply because of pedigree. Change his last name and he drops to the 2 or 3rd round easily.

So that must be the only reason he was taken #5, eureka!

He had an injury that required significant surgery. Might have made it back for bowl game only...
