Once Woodward emerged as a possible candidate, conversations on the board turned into a series of actions, which included keying in LSU President F. King Alexander. Asked Thursday for comment, Alexander responded in an email: “As President, I am responsible for hiring and firing athletic directors. I am happy to bring Scott Woodward home to LSU, and we are looking forward to the future of LSU Athletics.”
Interesting that he used the word "firing"
Maybe he wanted to fully fire Alleva?

So...he doesn’t have a sole, single-minded agenda of hiring a black AD and black basketball coach and the rant just irrationally made up a bunch of shite up?!
Shocked I tell you!

Still doesnt cover the fact he led the Will Wade BS though...
Did he? Or were F. King and Alleva trying to find a scapegoat?

I don't know James Williams, but he has gotten a lot of crap on this board for being a personal injury & civil rights attorney and for wearing an earring.
Yeah, all of that crap was uncalled for.

All hail the earring!

How do we know the above story is even true. That could have been floated just to take the heat off of Williams. Do we even know that Williams threw Wade under the bus? My point is the above story and Williams being one of the ones behind Wade's suspension is speculation on here. We just don't know for sure but we do know that F.King told Alleva to suspend him.

We like you now, James.

Long live The Great Earring. Long may he reign.

What did he do exactly?
Every coonass on this board would’ve made the same decision months ago... LSU doesn’t need a high powered SJW running the BOS.
But I guess as long as athletics is okay then no one’s worried about the actual school itself...
Thinly veiled, bud

Agree. I think Alleva was so incompetent at his job that it forced the BoS to make decisions about things they were not the best qualified for to make. His incompetence made the BoS look stupid and THAT’S why he was fired.

We don't know its true. It came from a source trusted enough to be printed in The Advocate. Good enough for me to believe it, maybe its not for you.

Yep that was it...he was terrified of the wrath of the rant...he knew what the rant had accomplished over the years...he was probably scared out of his wits by the 5 man protest...

My favorite was the guy ragging him for defending black clients & suing a police department

Yeah that guy was just an obvious racist.

If true, this is a great example of people rushing to judgement on people based partly on stereotypes.
We should should embrace this TD experience, so that the next time, we may pause for a second and think before posting something about someone we don't know.
ETA: He is still a lawyer though. So there's that.
