With that being said, I'm ready to see our new #SpeedD take Burrow and the LSU Tigers to the woodshed inside Atlanta's JerryWorld!!!! Should be fun.

Boomer Sooner comes from the land run. The Boomers were the legal runners who waited for the gun to start run. Sooners were the ones that left early and many were arrested. So the term Sooner (an I never understood why they use the term to honor their sports team) means cheater.

Got to admit it, Ive always loved your fight song "Oklahoma" since I saw the musical over 50 years ago...Pure beauty, and I hate to say it, but darn, Michigans is also beautiful to the ears. I also like Southern Cal's.

I actually hated that musical. For one, because the film was shot in Arizona, not Oklahoma. And two, Hollywood made an awful portrayal of Okies as nothing but farm hicks and hillbillies who married their relatives with that movie. (Thanks a lot, Jud Fry.)
If you want a real classic film about Oklahoma, I recommend the movie "Twister". At least that one shows you the real nature of our state. ;)

Appreciate the post from the opposition. I Lao am a pretty objective fan, but this should be our W no less then midway through the 3rd. You guys should score, but obviously, not enough.

You're preaching to the choir when it comes to Hollywood's awful portrayal of your state. Contrary to what Hollywood thinks, all people from Louisiana aren't Cajuns, we don't sound like Scarlett O'Hara when we speak, by and large most of us don't own airboats or wrestle alligators, we don't eat roadkill for dinner, not every day in NOLA is Mardi Gras, and we don't end every sentence with "laissez les bontemps rouler!"
