Yeah. Unfortunately, football is a very violent and physical sport. Injuries are almost a given if you've ever played in it.

Big loss for us. At least with Perkins, we have the depth to replace him. With DTY, we replace him with an inexperienced backup like Broiles or Criddell.

I will say if you can keep OU's offense off the field as much as possible by winning time of possession, as well as getting some key stops and creating turnovers, then LSU would probably come away with the win. However, stopping Jalen Hurts is no easy task at all.

Well considering OU has the top ranked defense in the Big XII and ranks 8 spots higher in total defense than LSU's, to only say they've "stepped it up" would be an understatement.

It would absolutely not be close between CeeDee and Mr. Jefferson. CeeDee is ranked higher according to Draft Scouts WR rankings for the 2021 class. If CeeDee leaves, he'll be a first round pick. Jefferson will be lucky to even sniff Day 1 of the draft if he goes high in the 2nd round. Neville Gallimore ranks higher than Rashard Lawrence for the 2020 DT class, and if you think Motley is our best DB you haven't even seen Bookie Radley-Hiles or Tre Brown play. But since you say he "might" start as your nickelback, well thanks I'm sure he'd be very flattered to play alongside your talented secondary.

Ok, so you dare to underestimate the talent and depth of OU because perhaps it isn't as sexy or appealing as LSU's? OU has a damn good offensive line led by a Rimington Award finalist in center Creed Humphrey and OU's ground game averages 6 yards a pop. OU also has a dynamic passing attack that averages 11.4 yards per pass attempt featuring not only CeeDee, but also receivers Charleston Rambo, Lee Morris, and promising group of young freshman receivers who were all five stars according to Rivals last year. Perhaps this will be the game Jadon Haselwood finally breaks out, being that this game will be in his hometown of Atlanta and there are a lot of OU players from the state of Georgia who will be fired up about playing back home. Add to it we have a very talented defensive front seven led by linebacker Kenneth Murray and a defensive line that features Gallimore, Ronnie Perkins, Jalen Redmond, Marquise Overton, and so on. OU sacked Sam Ehlinger 9 times in Dallas, and they also sacked Baylor 6 times in the Big XII title game. They are a very potent pass rush that LSU's offensive coaching staff better not take lightly. As Alex Grinch is a mastermind of creating presnap looks and confusion that will benefit OU greatly if Joe Brady isn't careful when coming out with his own gameplan.

Hurts' success doesn't even tell the whole story about how potent this offense is yet again. Lincoln Riley is one of the most coveted coaching prospects that NFL teams are trying to bring in. The reason why is he is such a creative gameplanner and playcaller is he always orchestrates his offense around the skillset of his quarterback, it doesn't matter who it is. With Baker, he ran a more "Air Raid" oriented attack and with Kyler, he ran a offense that centered around the "Run-Pass Option" and it's the same thing with Jalen, but with more of a power run than a finesse run. I'd be certain to presume he'll run this same effective gameplan against an LSU team that struggles with dual threat quarterbacks, as evidenced by Ole Miss's Plumlee.
