I can't link his original facebook post (a picture of it is included in the link below), but basically gripes about the academic side of the university being underfunded, while the athletics side gets all the spoils.

Haven't read Bob's article and while I don't always agree with his perspective I've been around him enough to know he's plenty bright.
His background in media and as a political insider gives him a certain level of knowledge beyond the superficial. It comes with the access.
Doesn't make him 100% right but does give him the qualifications to at least share some opinions that are probably more than just emotionally off the cuff.
And the goal of any good writer (or journalist) is to generate thought provoking material. Sounds like he may have sparked something here.
