Because he got pushed. Are you being serious right now?

Who fricked up was #11. He is the one that got out of his lane and caused the open hole. Watch #11 the whole time. He jogs out of his lane, goes to the middle of the field and the returner runs tight were he left.

It could have been called. I just dont think its why he missed the tackle.

His course didnt change. He was running to wear the guy originally set up, not where he fielded the punt. And he was already having to run too fast, with not time to breakdown, because we out kicked our coverage. and the guy was never there. He would have had to do something incredible to make that tackle.

Can someone tell me when the non-call PI play happened roughly at least?

Pretty obvious block in the back there or no?

Very obvious. You see Debo's body jerk as soon as the UF player touches him. I'm not sure Debo makes the play without the shove, but that doesn't matter. It was a block in the back clear as day.

You see debo's speed change at the 35 yard line. Obvious block in the back RIGHT NEXT TO THE PUNT RETURNER. How in the hell is that a "good no call"? A good no call is a block in the back so far away from the returner that there is no way the result of the play was affected. Less than five yards away from the return man and our guy is shoved passed him is fricking textbook. Terrible call.

even if it was a block, he took a bad angle and just sort of ran past him. He should have slowed up to make the tackle. Glad he made up for it blocking that pass at the end on 4th down

He was about to change direction into the returner and gets pushed father down field right by the guy.

Like not get pushed passed the guy. Not all that incredible.

I thought it was a certain penalty.

SEC refs are garbage.

This angle shows clearly he was pushed about 5 yards out from the ball carrier. Should have been a block in the back. Still he forced the returner inside so it was still poor coverage.
I just wish the referees were consistent. This was the most loosely called game in my memory and it did seem to mostly favor UF. Still only 20 yards of penalties for LSU which seemed to help them maintain their rhythm.

Doesn't matter. We can't just assume he makes the tackle without the push, but it doesn't matter.

Clearly did

Again...whether or not he makes the tackle is a moot point. A block in the back is a block in the back.

So you have 100% confidence that he would have reacted to the 2 yard lateral move, at the last moment, at full speed, with 1 yard of the returner?

Maybe he would, but i dont have the confidence you have. And im giving the returner credit for something you havent even considered.

Considering you can see him setting up for that and then get pushed right by the guy, absolutely.

This doesn't matter. A clear block in the back happened, and as such it should have been flagged.

The returner freakin slipped. If Debo isn't pushed in the back past him, he likely makes the tackle right there.

I agree with your stance.

You also used moot point correctly which is rare occurence so kudos to you good sir.
