This board is down on BK but it's time to get behind him. There's not going to be a change here for awhile so complaining isn't going to solve anything. Time to support coach and hope he puts all the pieces together. If Orgeron can win one here anyone can.

I love to shite on BK, but this is a solid start.

Now, this is a receipt he can keep and brag about.

This feels like something that should be illegal, but I don't know what's what anymore with NIL.

Give me a break . The guy got a 100 million dollar GUARANTEED contract . The expectation was clearly stated : Compete for the Natty . Coordinator hires stink , needs to get off his fanny and recruit SEC body type athletes , play calling totally predictable .

What have you done to help this program win?

This is a new era we live in. It takes everyone.

No matter what a coach/player/administrator does at LSU, there is always a faction of LSU "fans" who will complain.

Never mind that they were never talented enough to play, not nearly knowledgable enough to coach, and too dimwitted to be an administrator in college athletics.

What they CAN do is criticize people who are infinitely more talented and accomplished than they are. In so doing, they demonstrate THEIR greatest talents and accomplishments - moaning and being pissy. Ignore them.

Nope don’t be that person. I’m not his biggest fan either but that’s 10% of his income BEFORE taxes. That’s a big donation.

Very awesome of him. Have been a huge critic of his recently, but this is a big step in the right direction. Shows he actually does care about winning.

And to think, Will Wade is still chastised for (alleged but not proven) paying LSU basketball recruits out of his own pocket.

Wade was fired for lying to his boss and being a complete dumbass. He literally was too stupid to use a bagman and create several layers of separation.

All you bitches who have been shitting on BK for his salary take note. I haven’t heard of another head coach in the FBS doing this to spur NIL donations. It’s a smart move on his part if he wants a real shot at a title.

Technically this will go to TAF too. Idk what the ad’s excellence fund is.

Based on what UT is doing, this is probably a slush fund in preparation for revenue sharing to move forward.

Bingo, if they would have just started paying players along the way, it could have started at 10K each and probably worked its way up to 50 - 100 each by now which would have been a drop in the bucket and could have possibly thwarted the transfer portal debacle

Dale Brown was saying as much as far back as the 1970s. Dale Brown!

I always thought they should have considered the athletes from the revenue-producing sports as student employees and paid them at the highest rate for student employees -- 20 hours per week at whatever the highest per-hour rate. That might have staved off the lawsuits, or at least given them a non-contractual model to work from going forward.

Nothing was going to stop the transfer portal train, not as long as coaches could switch jobs so easily.

No one on this board predicted lsu to have 4 losses before the season started.

I did. Said 8-4 with 9-3 ceiling.

quote:

It’s called being objective.

If it was being objective by someone who knew football, then I would question myself. But those that know football, including Vegas, could see that a new DC, New Starting QB and most importantly a new center who is a RS freshman coupled with the loss of the leading rusher and Heisman winner, you knew production would drop. You lose your best interior lineman for 3.5 games late - your most critical and other guard, you end up losing to UF by giving up 7 sacks in a single game. Freshman being freshman.

You’re not “objective”. My guess is you’re a dickrider from Miles or O who both fricking killed this program between having to purposely revenue share (Les Title IX shite) and O leaving with shite left on the roster. Plus Louisiana law and that shitty NIL rule about it having to be businesses. It LITERALLY took until July this past summer to fix NIL issues using TAF.

So keep your negative arse shite to yourself unless you want to debate facts.

If you know any school teachers in La, ask them about how education is funded through the “general fund”. That is how the collective works when it isn’t specified to a specific program. When it comes to Title IX, it will force LSU to do things differently because of optics for no other reason.

Is that your comeback for everyone who doesn’t like BK? Noticing a trend. Your go to is “o lover/Leslie” nonsense. Get some new material. BK is not a championship coach. He sucks. I don’t care how much of his overpaid money he uses. He should. Receipts!

Now that the above is over, those of us who don’t like the coach, are still fans of LSU football. You don’t have to love the coach, praise him, or accept shite cause he’s the head coach. Those of us who don’t donate, are still fans of LSU football, and can still complain. It’s a damn sport. You want to donate, hell yeah, thank you! Awesome. Will
I? Hell no. Has LSU been in the dumps since 2020, yes. Was BKs first year a sign of hope? Yes. Opinions are like assholes, and everyone has one. This is tRant. No one is right, everyone is wrong, and life goes on. Coach JJ will bring LSU Baseball to Omaha this year. Geaux Tigers!

Not defending anyone. Just explaining the facts as they are. You people think that this was

I don’t care how much of his overpaid money he uses. He should.

Overpaid? You look at coaches salary Aggie?

quote:

BK is not a championship coach. He sucks.
lol so the winningest active Div 1 HC sucks.

quote:

are still fans of LSU football.
lol - doubtful. I’ll put my nearly 50 years as a season ticket holder donating far more than I’ll ever disclose, against you being a “fan”. You’re a troll.
quote:

Those of us who don’t donate, are still fans of LSU football, and can still complain.

You’re not a fan unless you put your money where your mouth is. It is doubtful you ever attended a games probably another illiterate backwater swamp rat at most.
quote:

Yes. Opinions are like assholes, and everyone has one.
that’s original. You ARE one so I guess it fits.
He took over a shite SHOW of 38 players having to start a receiver because…. All the QBs left and Nuss opted out. He had to recruit Nuss to stay. So it was a fricking miracle but none of you really want to look at things in their entirety.

Coach JJ will bring LSU Baseball to Omaha this year.
maybe but if he doesn’t like last season, I won’t be ready to fire him even though he is ONE OF THE HIGHEST paid coaches who didn’t win shite UNTIL COMING TO LSU where he was able to use LsU baseball resources to buy SKENES, Hurd, Cooper, etc.
