Is he wrong?

At the end of the first half the took some deep shots to try and get a TD rather than FG but Daniel’s didn’t throw good passes.

In the second half there was the deep ball to Thomas (not a perfect pass but should have been caught) and Lacy’s drop.

Res zone play calling was bad, but BKs point about execution is a good one.

LSU started off looking good…but the red zone reads by the Qb were not good and the play calling was very mediocre….as the game went on….
Offensive line looked horrible

Red Zone play calling was bad last year and was bad last week.
At times very bad.

What about rushing/forcing a bad play at the end of the 1st and 3rd quarters? Especially at the end of the 1st where Daniels hurdles and gets smashed.

Doesn’t really matter what he says this week, he’ll deny saying it next week.

Yep. Jd ain’t getting it done

This is our fan base in a nutshell.

It's all the qbs fault, no matter what, no matter how many other players shite the bed.

No JD isn't perfect and doesn't push the ball down field enough but as was said by many guys who actually played for LSU and have followed LSU as analysts for years. JD was not at the top of the list of issues in the FSU game.

We didn’t score a point in the second half until the game was over. Over 81% of the plays were called for Daniels so yea he and the defense were the 2 main problems.

Regarding big plays: “I think we had 11 big plays in the passing game and that’s gonna get it done for you.”

“We had a drop and certainly there’s some plays we would have liked to see him connect on.”

“At the end of the day we are calling the plays necessary for us to be explosive offensively, we have to execute.”

Execution issues were certainly evident on offense and defense, but there were several WR drops and to excuse Denbrock entirely from some lousy situational offensive play design seems a glaring error of omission.

I didn't see the presser and you only posted 3 snippets so...did CBK admit LSU coaches also needed to take some responsibility? I didn't see many plays designed to get JD5 to the edge (away from FSU's bully D-Line rush) nor some plays that we saw success from earlier in the game and last season. Ultimately, the players play the game and execute well or not but there's zero excuse to not adjust an offensive scheme /gameplan that's getting blown up more often than not.

He always seems to be looking the opposite direction when a WR breaks free.

Jordan’s WRs dropped 5 or 6 passes in fewer attempts and he just kept making throws. As far as the same old phony Oline excuse, JD had time all night. Maybe 1 quick pressure the entire game. Just because he holds the ball too long doesn’t mean the protection is bad. You guys made this excuse all last season yet the Oline graded top 8 in the country in every metric.

No, I think he is spot on. We also had some mistakes at critical moments. That is the thing to keep an eye on. Finishing drives is what concerns me.

No.

We’ll see what changes as we move forward. If nothing changes, that’ll be what concerns me.

I'm talking more run blocking. The O Line was atrociously bad run blocking all night.

Again JD was a problem in some aspects but he was down the list of big concerns.

Playcalling itself was good enough to win.

Problem was the QB couldn’t execute them and then his inability make deep passes further hampered the run game.

That isn’t to say it was a perfectly called game. Plenty of flawed calls, but it is honestly obvious that Daniels handcuffs the offense by 1) not pulling the trigger and 2) having a really bad long ball.

It is was it is. If he insists on keeping JD as the starter, it will not be pretty.

Yes, greatly.

Sounds like he thinks the play calling was fine, and he was pleased with Daniels' performance for the most part. He pretty much blames everything on lack of execution.

I agree it was inconsistent for sure but the sample size was too small. You can’t look at it in the old standardized way because JD scrambles so much and takes so many sacks. Williams, our lead back goes 4 attempts 44 yards, pretty damned good. Daniels had a 40 yard designed run and a couple of 13-15 yarders and was very productive on designed runs like he always is but he took sacks and had poor scramble attempts that deflated his numbers. Then Cain, 3 of his 4 attempts came on the goal line or 3rd and short so that’s not a good indicator. Bradford had 4 to round it out, some terrible play designs on his and he’s not a good runner anyway.

BK knows the clock is ticking for him to ever win a national title. Hopefully that lights a fire under him
