If we’re going to do this shouldn’t we play in Paris?

That would make about as much sense as Dublin.

The founders of this state had almost nothing in common with your average Parisian.

Bienville was from Montreal so we should play a game there.

Why not some venue really exotic, like Iceland?

LSU gains nothing from playing in Ireland.

We don’t recruit there. We aren’t an Irish Catholic school. You take away revenue and a home game from Tiger stadium. Serves no purpose whatsoever

It serves the purpose of an excuse to book the golf trip and catch a game at the same time

What’s the point of a game in Ireland? Very expensive road trip for team and fans.

Except it would be cool experience for fans to be able to go to. They also gain a very large amount of cash for it. Cash that can now be directly earmarked for paying and competing in NIL.

The idea of playing a local game in Houston or some other recruiting ground to boost recruiting feels like an old concept in the world of NIL. Being the only game on TV in such a unique and high profile game is much more effective in our recruiting / NIL efforts, especially given how national our recruiting efforts have turned into.

Who cares.

LSU makes a killing on those neutral site games before they touch the field, that’s why neutral sites are so popular. ESPN would be dropping a bag to make this happen.

And you aren’t really taking a home game from tiger stadium that isn’t already being earmarked for another neutral site opener in a city we’ve been to 25 times since the Saban era. I agree neutral site games suck and I wish we went full home and home, but in the world of neutral site games, atleast make them unique and cool fan experiences

Hey Coach, how about winning your first neutral site game as LSU Head Coach before talking about "another" neutral game site?

I know for a fact that CBKs won at least 2 “Neutral site” games at LSU.

LSU 35 vs Wisconsin 31 on Jan 1st, 2024 in Tampa, FL

Ya but money get paid $5 to $6 million for a 1 off game making same amount plus home and home won’t work back to back years:

2029 vs Arizona State
2030 @ Arizona State
2031 @ Utah
2032 vs Utah

I dought since the sec going to 9 conference games in 2026 that lsu wants to play 11 power 5 teams in 1 season and either G5 or FCS opponent

What they should do is either do 1 off or 2028, 2032 home and home neutral site series or 2 separate neutral site games

Example:

2028 vs Notre Dame (Dublin Ireland) 50/50

2032 vs Michigan or Notre Dame (Nashville new stadium or Atlanta or Dallas)

Or

2032 vs Notre Dame (Paris,France)
