Interested to see if you feel the same way about Bama?

This is my thought as well. Alabama currently has the #1/#2 class depending on which site you look at. Even Auburn has a higher rated class than us, though part of that is the number of recruits they have. Am I supposed to believe that the state of Alabama is just that much more rich than Louisiana? What about Ole Miss "outbidding" us for players in the portal last year? Does Mississippi have more money than us too? At some point this is on the staff for either going after recruits that in all reality they had no real chance for and allowed themselves to be used as leverage or they simply haven't done enough (NIL, on the field, or both) to keep these recruits interested

BK? You think a different coach would provide more money to recruits?

If we don't have enough money to buy recruits out of high school what makes you think we have enough to buy from transfer portal??? We are screwed

Maybe if the team didn’t suck this year we wouldn’t lose these recruits.

8-4 isnt "sucking"

W/L have nothing to do with it, its all about the $$$$

I dont even know why these kids have to pretend to be enrolled in school anymore. Its just a "rent a player" era.

Heard the same crap about the DT transfers last year. We’re wanting $1-$1.5 mil to come to LSU. Kelly said no. None of those guys were much better than the transfers we brought in or our freshmen at the end of the season. Would rather spend that kind of money on a proven transfer. They’ll still pay Pickett. But of course it will be played as Kelly sucks. LOL

Wonder how many people in here saying LSU doesn’t have the money donate to the bayou traditions fund? Every other schools NIL fund is heavily donated to by fans. Why not LSU’s

Not predicted to be the last. Insiders are making it sound like it's open season on our top guys.

How about BK donating some of his check to LSU NIL fund. I’m sure he can spare a mil

Damn. If this recruiting class falls apart I call for a Canes strike
This is what it's gonna take? Not the tenders getting smaller while the prices go up?

Odd take blaming the state and not the head coach who makes 100 million salary.

The state, blessed with incredible natural resources and the navigation of the worlds 4th largest river has squandered everything on Huey Long chicken in every pot mentality politics for over a century.

Louisiana should have population over 8M people. NOLA in late 1800s was the 3rd largest city in the US.

Yes, it’s a failed state with bigger problems than LSU NIL. But LSU decline was and is inevitable.

Nah Saban quit because he didn’t have the upper hand anymore. Easier to give players dodge chargers & Mercedes than negotiate contracts.
