Osborne was year 21 and Holtz was year 19!

Best Kelly can do is year 22 which ain’t gonna happen!

So? You, yourself made the argument that winning regular season games at Notre Dame means nothing. Who cares if they make the playoffs, right? Only matters if they win it all, right?

And, just stay with me here, is it possible that Marcus Freeman had a bit easier time because he inherited a program that was like 44-6 the years prior to him taking over?

Yeah they sure do. AFTER coming to LSU. They combined had a total of ZERO titles when hired to LSU.

Dips**t....there are only four active coaches that have won a D-1 Championship. Are you suggesting that only those four are going to win one?

And? according to everyone bashing BK in this thread they don't play anyone

He had them in the top 2 once and top 4 twice. Doubt Freeman gets them there

So the winningest active college football coach?

This doesn't mean shite since he can't win at LSU. I don't give a shite what he's done before if he can't even win here. 2 retards as LSU's coach won a National championship each. les should have had multiple.

Y’all act like he’s gone 6-6 for 3 years in a row. He screwed up the early defensive hires but that’s been fixed. It’s hyperbolic at best to claim he can’t win here.

The BK lovers are out today in full force. You’ll get all their downvotes but Brian Kelly is a fraud and Woodward is also

These BK lovers must be ai or some type of bot. Because I haven’t spoken to a single person to their face who is defending keeping BK as coach. Many of them/ us agree he needs to go asap but lighting 60 mil on fire doesn’t seem like a responsible act either.

But I, for the life of me, can’t understand the BK love he’s getting today. It’s not like he woke up this morning and something magical happened where he can now ready teams and call plays. He’s the same idiot we had Saturday night.

No, I’m saying if they don’t win one in their first 15-20 years they won’t win one at all!

He can post for himself but to clarify, his point is that once a HC has passed 20+ years as a HC, it's really rare for one to win a first natty.

Mack Brown did. Tom Osborne did. Holtz was into season 19 when he won his first (and only) natty.

You’re right. There’s been no shift either in the structure of college football to allow more teams a chance to compete for a title. Oh wait.

He's also the same coach who won ten games in his first two seasons at LSU after inheriting a dumpster fire.

He's also the same coach who is bringing in the #2 recruiting class in the nation.

They’ve decided they don’t like him. They’ll only accept data that supports their point regardless of context.

In all honesty, I’m pretty sure I have no clue when it comes to picking coaches. I wanted Tom Herman. I wanted Billy Napier. I also wanted Kirby Smart before he went to Georgia. I’m just better somehow at evaluating talent once they get here and start screwing up.

I’m for cutting Kelly once it’s financially responsible. But I defer to someone else to pick him.

How many schools do you think have a realistic chance of winning a national title in college football?
