Regardless of who did or didn’t play for ND, that 2012 Bama team boat races this ND team. Those Bama teams had NFL caliber players all over the field on both sides of the ball.

Freeman took over an 11-1 team. BK took over a 6-7 team that finished the season with 39 scholarship players a WR playing QB. I’d say BK’s rebuild is a little more difficult than Freeman’s was/is.

This excuse is weak. With the transfer portal and NIL it shouldnt take 3 years to turn a program around...This is on BK and his lazy hires with Sloan, House, and stubbornly refusing to hire a special teams.

Look how quick the coaches at Indiana and SMU turned it around. Even Sark at UT had the horns in the playoffs year 3.

BKs problem is he's LAZY and his performance is getting worse not better

It's actually harder

Easily. You had to be top 2. That’s insanely hard in CFP. Freeman got the benefit of being a much worse ranked team and getting to play in the playoff. How many of BKs ND seasons would he have made a 12 team playoff?

Any comparison from a year or two ago going forward is really a moot point.

The game has changed considerably since BK left ND.

Dude, Ga didn’t have their QB! Not to mention this Ga. Team was worst in last 3 years.

Freeman took over an 11-1 team and finished his first 2 years ranked 21st and 16th. I’m curious, where were you guys that are sucking his dick now? And that’s against some shite schedules. My favorite is the guy who said they are “relevant” again. You must be 10 because they weren’t forever until Kelly brought them back to consistent relevancy. Remember, he did that with serious academic deficiencies in recruiting and no NIL or transfers. I’m not some BK apologist but some of you are fricking clueless.

Georgia wasn’t a force, and he beat them without their starting QB.

Notre Dame gets criticized from both sides…

If they lose: “Well they were who we thought they were…not that good.”

If they win: “Well they haven’t played anyone yet. Indiana shouldn’t have been there, Georgia wasn’t the usual Georgia and lost their QB, and PSU was overrated.”

Fact is that Freeman is making BK look like a plug for saying he couldn’t win without the types of guys and resources at an SEC school. Yeah they might lose to OSU, but if the OSU that let Texas hang around for three quarters shows up ND has a good shot.
