The threw a really nice deep ball to Hilton in the 2nd half. He’s always been wildly inconsistent on his deep balls. Even last year.

And now our backup QB has lost all confidence thinking to himself WTF, am I so bad that I can’t get any PT even with our noodle arm starter playing like shite.

oh yes he is hurt. i have zero doubts
kelly is lying his arse off.
nuss shoulda rested the SELA game and this game.
we MAy have done better with VB this game.
if he can run some. install some basic packages. may have done no worse.
rest nuss until after the bye. he is not getting better playing hurt. he has looked like shite all year.

This is not a “regression.” His game has fallen off a cliff out of nowhere
Posted on 9/28/25 at 10:28 am to Fat Bastard
He has not had a really good game or even a good one. Not counting SLU.

no argument from me

Ok so he just stinks and cannot manage the game. Poor decisions and a jello arm. Next up.

Ok so he has no confidence in the backup? I don’t know football nearly as well as many of you but can it be any worse?

I mean seriously, if you can’t watch him after watching him from last 2 years sling the ball and not realize something is very wrong you are dense. You don’t go from flicking 60 yard lasers to not being able to throw it 40 yards without some sort of injury.

that is just another BK mistake.
He should declare that Nuss is hurting and not able to throw 100%. That gives Nuss an excuse at least for his poor play. Do not play him against SC and supposedly let him heal. IF our offense doesn't improve, then we know it is not Nuss, which I believe.
Then Nuss can come back and finish the season and hopefully has gained some strength and LSU plays much better after the SC game.
If BK continues to do the same things and expect different results, then he will have proved that he is clueless.
This approach would help Nuss in the long run. IF BK continues with Nuss against SC, he is hurting Nuss' future imo. I hope Nuss and his father can suggest this would work best for Nuss and LSU in the long run.

Push the ball downfield how? Dude has zero arm now. Looking like drew Brees the last two years. Captain checkdown.
He's hurt and nobody is admitting it.

So are we saying Nuss may not get the invite to the Heisman ceremony?!?
Posted on 9/28/25 at 10:55 am to UpToPar
Im going to assume he is hurt. With that being said, great coaches make adjustments as needed. I think it is time to see what we can get from Van Buren. He is mobile and against an eight man coverage or base defense, he is a threat to run the ball. Yesterday, Lane went with the mobile athletic QB over the pocket passer. Because he was a threat to run, LSU had to stay disciplined all day. Give Nuss the bye week off and south carolina, whomis playing with a backup off, and get ready for the rest of the season.

Ok, so we are to believe Nuss is not hurt. Anyone that has access to game footage from last year can clearly see he has lost accuracy and arm strength since last season. He still refuses to run, even against a 3 man front. Seeing Nuss was obviously off his game again yesterday, common sense says sit him a set of downs or two, put in Van Buren and see how Kiffin's D reacts. But no, stubborn BK is going to lose with Nuss regardless...

I was fooled by the Nuss hype like most of us. Wanted him to be the next Burrow. We were all fooled. He may be one of the worse quarterbacks in LSU history. Cannot run, not an accurate passer, interceptions, throwing into triple coverage, the list is endless. Going to be a long rest of the season.
