BK has never beat a top 15 team on the road while at LSU. He has also lost to #23 USC and #20 Ole Miss on the road. Why do we struggle on the road so much?

He has been touted for building a top level O-line, yet they cannot run block. Defense remains weak.

Beating good teams on the road is a sign of legit contender and a championship coach.

This team is not and this coach is not.

Yes. And for 100 million maybe we could win on the road against elite competition every now and then? Georgia did not flinch at Texas. Sorry for wanting our team to be elite again.

We all want LSU to be elite again.

Its not going to be this year. Or even next year.

He gets rattled and flustered he doesn’t have the emotional IQ to help calm his team down and lead them.

True.

But if you want to “be fine” with cheezit bowls, then keep saying it’s hard while LSU keeps paying 9.5.

Other great coaches can win on the road. One of them will win the playoff this year. We won’t.

and this where i fall.......and most will disagree, and i'm quite ok with that. lol

everyone who either dislikes BK or just wants to bitch about something, are all pointing to his words about year 3, and yes, this is his 3rd season coaching, but anyone using an ounce of objectivity can't look at year 1 when he got here in December and say that's his first recruiting class. a class that needed a ton of bodies, which is why he went hard on the portal in year 1, so he can fill a roster, and as we've all seen, most of those bodies aren't the guys we were accustomed to at LSU.

then factor in the year 1 defense being OK, and then that same coordinator appearing to forget how to coach.....all the while we have no D line coach due to an unforeseen illness. we fell behind in coaching and recruiting.

all excuses, i'm well aware of that. however, my year for him is after his 3rd full year of recruiting, which he is doing great in. we have guys like breaud, mckinley etc getting valuable time as true freshman. their experience and develpment, along with guillory coming back, then next years crew of big men are going to be the depth and talent we've been lacking. hopefully the same with our younger db's and the incoming ones. he's said he's not going to build LSU via the portal. i tend to agree with that approach, so i'm a little more patient in the overall process.

it sucks losing, especially when you had the lead by 10 at half. a lot of things went bad quickly, their back up had short fields all night due to special teams or Nuss' ints. but this isn't all doom and glooms right now. yes we can lose 2 more, but we can also win out and be sitting inside the top 12. no one knows shite right now but we can still enjoy the season that's left.

all this to say again, i'll be way more judgmental and less patient starting next season after his 3rd full recruiting cycles is on campus. he's still killing it on the recruiting trail, so there's reason to be optimistic about the future. the man is a program builder, maybe he was a year off in his own assessment.

I don't want to "be fine"

I also have no control over any decisions for LSU, so

He also struggles with good teams in neutral fields.

Yes he does. But looking at the downvotes and comments some of our fan base is just fine with the path we are on which really is odd in the days of the transfer portal where elite teams can be built much quicker.

Motherfricker, this is SEC football, not Grand fricking Valley State.

And oh by the way, that was over 20 years ago. You can’t continue to feast of the carcass of winning championships at Grand fricking Valley State over 20 years ago.

Kelly’s shortcomings are going to keep this team from leveling up.

The only thing elite about BK is his salary and buyout.

Let’s look at how other highly paid coaches have performed on the road this year against teams currently ranked in the top 25.

Kirby Smart ($13 million): 1-1
Dabo Swinney ($11.5 million): 0-1
Lincoln Riley ($11 million): 0-0
Steve Sarkisian ($10.3 million): 0-0
Kalen DeBoer ($10 million): 0-1
Mike Norvell ($9.8 million): 0-2
Brian Kelly ($9.5 million): 0-1
Ryan Day ($9.5 million): 0-1
Lane Kiffin ($9 million): 0-1
Josh Heupel ($9 million): 0-0

The top 10 highest-paid coaches are a combined 1-8 this year against teams that are currently ranked. The only win is UGA @ Texas.

In fact, the entire AP top 25 only has 6 losses (out of 23 losses total) at home so far this year.
