the issue is far bigger than just Devin White. How about a billboard near the SEC offices that has a picture of a big flashlight shining at a bunch of rats with bama hats on with the tag line: Bama Rats run SEC
Yep. I'm sure Alabama will approve the use of their logo for this pupose.
How are people not getting that #FreeDevinWhite IS the spotlight? It is an instantly recognizable phrase that points to the larger issue. Ever heard the phrase 'the straw that broke the camel's back'?

#FreeDevinWhite gets the point across in a way that is clever and TV safe. It gets attention. That is why you do it.
OK I get it. I don't do twitter but I know the # stuff is big these days. And #FREE DEVIN WHITE billboards will get talked about in national media and college gameday, where as #SEC OFFICIALS AND REFS ARE BAMA RATS not so much.

Holy sh*t
Is this the single greatest accomplishment that tRant has ever done?

Add me twice. It looks petty. Coaches and players are moving on. Next man up. We’ll be fine.

And what you guys don't get is that we can't use any branding, any pictures of people without their permission, etc. We can't do a picture of some ref or a photo of an Alabama helmet without getting into legal issues. On top of that, like Holden said, the billboards bring attention to the issue, which is what we want. Post about all the issues you want with #FreeDevinWhite added on; that's the point of a hashtag, you discuss things and people can easily search it
So you can't use a picture of someone without their permission, but you can use their name?
Did you guys get Devin White's permission?

It adds to the lore of this specific game though.

Now the haters are coming out.

Just wait until they go live. The story and pics of the billboards will be everywhere. Well done, Tiger Fans!
Posted on 10/23/18 at 12:14 pm to Smalls
Let them sit in their hate and pound sand. The real fans wanted to make a point, and you took it upon yourself to do a ton of work and actually do something. I am proud of you smalls, and damn proud to be a Tiger fan. I cannot frickin' wait for 11/3

Right. From another thread,
quote:
Photographs: Advertisers must obtain permission of the copyright owner of a photograph (usually the photographer). If the photograph is of a person, you will need permission of the person depicted in the photograph to use his or her likeness.
