We kick a field goal with 1 second left to win the game

How good could Mettenburger have been if he played backup in the 2011 season? We blew a ton of teams out and either Lee played the entire game or Jefferson came in. I only recall Mettenburger playing against ole miss. That would have gotten him more time so he could have perhaps been better in 2012. If we beat bama instead of losing, we would have won the west and possibly gone to play Notre Dame perhaps for the natty. We would have had to beat a better Georgia team then the one we beat in 2011.

Haven’t read all 8 pages but this is probably in there multiple times.
What if Cecil Collins wasn’t a head case.

What if there was .5 more seconds on the clock in the 2016 LSU/Auburn game on the final play?
-Les remains HC
-No offense re-vamp
-No Burrow
-Natty? Unlikely.
and i was upset about that. great analysis

1)Bo Rein(easy answer)
2)Saban picks Brees instead of Culpepper. Dolphins are a playoff team and Les wins atleast one more natty.
3)Jimbo/Herman accept the job
4)Dietzel stays at LSU

What if Patrick Peterson had come back for his Senior Year in 2011? Is the defense even more dominant than it was... so much so that they create a turnover or 2 on 01/09/12...?
What if we had stopped Bama on their final drive on 11/03/12 and we win that game? Does the bleeding stop against Bama and Les' tenure turns out differently?

1. Saban doesn't go to the Dolphins
2. Saban doesn't come to LSU
3. Saban doesn't go to Bama
4. Chris Jackson doesn't leave after sophomore year
5. Honey Badger doesn't get suspended
6. Les Miles allows new plays against Bama in 2011
7. Joe Burrow doesn't transfer to LSU

What if Curley Hallman was never hired. Where would that put the program today? What if Les Miles was willing to open up the offense? Would we have at least one more title?

what if LSU had not taken the bait when Bama players started a fight after LSU recovered a fumble on the Bama 3 in a tie game with 1 minute left. LSU gets called for the 15 yard penalty instead of Bama, ends up kicking a FG, Bama ties it with a FG and wins in OT. I think this was 2014.

This will sound negative but is actually positive: what if Burrow wasn't a tough MF-er and got taken out of the Natty by that crushing hit just before halftime? Clemson scored on their first possession on 2nd half, had the previous year's Heisman winner and knew how to win a championship game. Having Joe lead more TD drives in 2nd half was (obviously) huge.

My Dad would have said if we would not have lost by 3 points to Ole Miss and Archie in 1969 LSU may have won the national title that year. He always said that team was better than the 58 team that won it. Said we should have won that won, but Mac messed it up...course he was a Mac hater so....

For those who didn't watch, the CWS series against Florida in 2017 was insanely close with every at-bat meaningful. The Slaughter slide was akin to Bartman interfering with Moises Alou. It almost felt like the baseball gods would celebrate us taking out 55-3 Oregon State (twice!) but simply would not give us another championship.

What if Leonard Mitchell never hurts his elbow between high school and college? He never could fully straighten his arm again and it ruined his shot, especially from outside.

I just can’t wrap my head around the idea that the football team choked away a game bc of the death of the women’s basketball coach. I think that’s a stretch.

What would change? RB was not a weakness even after Cecil’s injury and implosion.
