Feel much better about Aranda and Canada going in to Alabama not being lame but being aggressive, having cooked up some major surprises for Saban's team. No more 3rd and Chaves or 2 straight dive plays then 3rd and forever by the offense, that I feel certain.

Many fans predicting it will be a blow out loss, just don't sense that is the case with these two LSU coaches. Both have reputations they're willing to fight to protect, unlike Miles who seemed to not care about losing his towards the end. I do miss Miles' unique way of talking to the media.

LSU can do this, LSU's players and coaches certainly think so.

Great. Now Alabama knows that LSU is gameplannig for them and is taking them seriously.

We're doomed now.

Do you really think the determining factor is that our coaches all of a sudden have a desire to protect their reputation?

This game will be won or lost based on much more tangible things. Unfortunately, I think that means we lose in a game that isn't very close.

Might as well go big or go home. No one is expecting them to win. Put it all on the line and don't hold anything back.

A lineman scoring a TD?

McMillan TD?

Etling catching a TD from give?

Surprise onsides kick?

Our coaches didn't all of a sudden care, they always did, just had a slow start figuring their team and identity out, actually showed how tough and how much they care when it got heated. This team is ready for Bama!

LSU just needs to make it through the first quarter. This season LSU's taken about a quarter to really settle in on defense. If they make it through the highly emotional first quarter against the crowd and Alabama's emotion they'll have a shot.

All of that and more. A swing pass on 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1, by-passing field goals for TD's. Putting a lot of defensive players in the box, moving them around to confuse the sophomore.

LSU won't be able to stop the run. LSU won't be able to run it between the tackles.

Could LSU scheme it's way to scoring two TDs it wouldn't typically score? Sure. It's unlikely. But it could happen.

It's more likely that Bama runs it right at us and we lose by 20+ though.

So they weren't willing to fight for their reputation against State then?

How do you know LSU won't load up the box to stop a running QB and force him to pass?

I love that no reference in your post is made to Coach O.
We have all accepted he is basically just a mascot at this point and needs to stay out of the way of his OC and DC.

Meant no disrespect. Everybody has a task, Orgeron's is recruiting and keeping the players fresh and not worn out from the SEC grind.

Been very impressed with LSU's turn around, just hope it continues.

I agree. It takes time when a new coach and system. Mix that with 20 freshman playing signings roles and u are bound to have growing pains. A lot of team are down this year. UT Fsu UF.. A&M seems to be having a good year but Sumlin may be gone either by his own or by A&M's AD. Lsu just needs to keep winning. Bama may be too much but at least we have some confidence going into it.
