It's not monopoly rights they granted them. Uverse was just the first distributor they came to a contractual agreement with.

Probably getting a huge subsidy from AT&T for exclusive rights to the content. Sucks arse but its business.

AT&T probably had to pay a lot for these rights. They are hoping this will make people switch to U-Verse.

10 sec baseball weekends minus the tourney. Everyone plays the same days at same times usually.
3 games every weekend plus some games before sec play starts and televised the whole tourney
