Went to U-High and played basketball there. Knew him and played with him. Dude was destined for this. Without saying too much, between the sad state of affairs that was his mother and lack of a father figure at all. This isn't surprising a bit. So sad though, what a waste.

If you played basketball with Davis at U High then I probably played against you. We got demolished by U High in a tournament. Temple was a freshman on the team, and Davis was on that team. Temple was less than impressive, although just a freshman. But Davis destroyed our arse. He was a clown on the court.

And to think, Garret is still in the NBA and Mr. Basketball of Louisiana and SEC player of the year on a final four team is in prison.

He has a character role in Power book IV on Starz. I wonder how they plan on writing him out of the script. It’s a small role. He’s apparently a head drug lord who is running his gang while in prison.

He’s a literal crack baby. His mom was a piece of work. Sad situation.

Isn’t his role playing a prisoner?

I hate to see athletes lose millions of dollars due to addictions or family members who take advantage of their rich sibling. 33 million isn’t Mike Tyson money but gosh I wish someone trustworthy could have secured a few million in a trust or some securities that would have held value.

I’m not talented enough to earn a 500 million dollar contract but I would never lose all of my money where I would be anxious about retirement. My first cousin received a 120K inheritance and blow it all in 13 months on parties and drugs. Now he is struggling at Taco Bell. Sometimes, you just can’t reach people who don’t want to listen to good advice.

It’s sad more than anything. You don’t need to be a genius to know right from wrong. Now he unfortunately pays the price.

ran into him a few times in my line of work somewhat early in his NBA career. He was a complete scum bag. One of the worst I’ve dealt with.

Can't be happy with what he has...

He wants to defraud the NBA, the League that gave him More money than he would have ever earned at the -Fil-in-the-Blank.

What a joke!!

that shite makes me laugh. If he only made 330k in his career I would be a little more understanding to him for trying to make false claims for tax purposes to get money. But this is just comical.

Watch ESPN’s Broke documentary for insight as to how athletes run out of money. Of the 33M the government takes half and the agent takes 3%. Then you have the mansion, cars, jewelry, clothes. Mom, family and friends all need money or have a business venture.

Throw in the HOs and there’s nothing left and zero income once they get cut.

As someone stated, they need to structure the contracts with some type of long term investment that is managed by a professional.

Small loss

So exactly like Joe Burrow.
