Up 21-3 at halftime, hordes will stream for the exits.

Or the LSU has the ball more often and can score more.

Actually better stats..

Offense will have the ball more due to the defense stopping opponents more.

I may be crazy, but I'll take wins over stats.

Perfect example of how a bad defense hurts your offense is the '19 game vs Florida. Defense couldn't get off the field, Florida had I don't know how many 10+ play drives, LSU had like 25-30 less plays than they had averaged in any game up to that point, and still scored 42 points.

I did the math a while back and if they had the same amount of plays, the averages would have put them at 65'ish points, I believe.

I’m ok beating teams 35-14 instead of having a panic attack each time the other team is on offense.

This right here.

Not gonna lie. 4th and 25 on Monday I was certain that, somehow, Mordechai was gonna pull it out of his arse. I had zero confidence in our defense and figured it was gonna be Auburn-Alabama all over again.

This reminds me of when people started chattering about “complementary football“ after the Ole Miss game in 2019 lmao.

Then the defense was dominant in the playoff & offense didn’t change a thing.

Dumbest thing y’all do is parrot this “we can only be top 5 on one side of the ball” nonsense.

This isn't true. Imagine jd5 stats if we weren't 107th in opponents time of possession.
